The Mandalorian is a formidable bounty hunter in an increasingly dangerous galaxy.

So now we have a 4-inch version of Din Djarin with only five points of articulation. Don’t you feel privileged? Why Hasbro feels the need to reinvent the wheel is beyond our capacity. They are hellbent on trying to engage young Star Wars fans, but that ship sailed years ago. And since the content they make is now geared towards a different audience, they are losing their prime market of man-children with money looking for the latest and most significant Star Wars action figures. Sadly, that ship has sailed. So, between the latest waves of The Black Series and The Vintage Collection action figures, we get oddities like the Epic Hero Series line. This 5POA lineup is only in its infancy, but Hasbro has released a wave of characters, mainly from Disney Star Wars, of characters we already have a billion times in the other scales. The cross-pollination of the same Dang Star Wars character across all the different formats is boring, stale, and disengaging to the collecting community. The Mandalorian action figure comes with five points of articulation and three accessories. The molded cape is easily removable. We also get a darksaber and a blaster pistol; thankfully, the action figure holds them well. The Mandalorian action figure doesn’t have a fantastic center of gravity. Hasbro designed the legs unevenly, so the figure wobbles when standing upright. The paint operations are basic, simple, and uninspiring. All the primary colors are present here, but you’ll notice how many finer details are absent. The Epic Hero Series line has an MSRP of $9.99; the first wave is a mixed bag. We feel the line should have launched with two or three waves of a better mix of characters. But it’s likely this line is dead on arrival, so Hasbro may not need to worry about this line for much longer.
