It's New Year's Eve, so I thought it would be fun for those of you who are home like me to rank the current Star Wars films. I got this idea from a friend on Facebook. So, on a scale of 1-10 (with 1 being the worst and 10 being absolutely perfect), rate all of the Star Wars movies by how well you liked them. Please keep additional comments as light as possible. For example:

While both of these figures are amazing, the Chewbacca figure is probably the best sixth scale figure you will find. The complaints about his face and head are completely unwarranted, and pictures can't possible capture the amazing job Hot Toys did with this figure. UPDATE 1: TMZ is reporting she sustained a MASSIVE heart attack.

UPDATE 2: Carrie's brother, Todd Fisher, has told the Associated Press that she was "out of emergency" and stabilized at a Los Angeles hospital.

UPDATE 3: Contrary to earlier reports, Todd Fisher has now told AP and several other press outlets that Fisher’s condition is currently uncertain, and that the actress is in Intensive Care. “She’s in the ICU and everybody’s praying for her,” Todd Fisher told Variety during a phone interview. “There’s nothing new from the doctors. There’s nothing new at all. … There’s no good news or bad news.”

UPDATE 4: On Christmas Day, Carrie Fisher's mother Debbie Reynolds spoke out after her daughter suffered a heart attack. "Carrie is in stable condition. If there is a change, we will share it."

This vehicle JUST ARRIVED at this retailer a couple of days ago and it seems they've given up on it. Before you say a few store reports don't make a trend, you should remember that TARGET is one of the few more organized retail chains in the USA. As we predicted the moment the MSRP was revealed, no one is plopping down $300 for this thing. It looks like the Imperial AT-ACT Driver included with Hasbro's much-too-expensive Rapid Fire Imperial AT-ACT vehicle is screen accurate. Assumed to be a Hasbro concept, JTA reader Josh M. sends us an image from the Rogue One Visual Dictionary and the book reveals that the action figure is pretty accurate. (It is possible to catch a glimpse of this character in the film as well. Just don't blink or you'll miss it!) Rogue One is officially out! Now that you've seen it and are ready to add even more visual and audio stimulation, we've rounded up many of the major media releases. Make sure to check them out, just in time for Christmas!

Rogue One was better than I had ever expected. And as the film continues to be digested in my brain, I once again got a little sad that I don't have a toy line to go along with this fantastic film (by "don't have a toy line" I mean a super-articulated 3.75" full range toy line). So, I thought about the Golden Age of Collecting and put together my own list of what Hasbro should have released on Rogue Friday this year. I put together two full cases of figures that not only would have saved Hasbro incredible tooling budget costs, but would have given the world a better array of characters from the film while making both kids and collectors very, very happy. Hasbro needs to get back to killing two birds with one stone again. Out of the 24 character selections I picked, only eight would need to be all-new sculpts. I am sure some of you could probably come up with awesome third and fourth waves too. These figures should all be in the Rogue One line look, or better yet, The Vintage Collection! We have just learned about a packaging variation on The Black Series [Phase III] 6" AT-AT Driver figure. While it's likely not breaking news (we really don't follow any packaging variations), this one may interest some collectors. Both the name of the figure and the bio are different. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story officially opens on December 16th, but most hardcore fans around the world are seeing it on the many earlier screenings as we speak, and for the USA, tonight. This is a "friendly" reminder to refrain from posting any insider knowledge, rumored plot points or any character development details surrounding Rogue One: A Star Wars Story until Saturday morning. If you waste your own time at various movie rumor sites that's your business, but don't ruin it for anyone else here including the staff at JTA. We know NOTHING about the film and want it that way. Last year someone posted "Han Solo dies!" the night before I was going to see the "Episode VII" film. I have yet to track down that youngling and cut him in two with my lightsaber. Ultimately, in the case of TFA it ended up not mattering at all since the film was so terrible. But we all have high hopes for this one. So, fair warning, if you post rumors, spoilers, plot points or anything other than what we have seen in the trailers, we can't guarantee what will become of your access here. Please help keep this film a surprise for those that want it a surprise. This is a major event, not an unboxing of Pops! Thank you in advance for abiding.

We can't help but feel a sense that some new tidbits of information could be revealed here too. JTA reader Shawn P. alerts us to a store we haven't heard about before until now. The retail store Mardens in Maine is a surplus and salvage store and in Shawn's local store is a huge supply of brand new The Black Series [Phase III] 6" figures for under $13 each. (Did Hasbro forecast a little bit too high for Rogue One?) Anyway, it's no secret that you can find most of the latest TBS6 figures for significantly less than retail, but we had no idea that Hasbro (or accounts that have bought this product and are sitting on it) is/are already shipping their stock to discount chains. What's more disconcerting is that the Walmart exclusive TBS line as well as the Rogue One products have been found here as well with significant discounts. This is strange because many of us have yet to see anything from some of these lines at our local stores (especially the Walmart 3.75" SA line). It's maddening. Click through for Shawn's report.

Rogue One is almost here! Not that you need another reason to be excited, but check out this behind the scenes look at the creatures of Rogue One. A lot of the new creatures and aliens in this video already feel like they belong in the Star Wars galaxy. That's something I wouldn't say about the majority of the creatures we saw in Maz Kanata's castle. I love the design of these new characters, but I hope we see some more familiar aliens as well. The new Mon Calamari look great and hopefully they aren't the only familiar face we see. Let's have some Rodians and Twi'leks walking around the streets of Jedha too. What do you think? All three theatrical posters for Rogue One are now available on Disney Movie Rewards, but at 1000 points each. If you want any of these and don't have the points then make sure to hit eBay and get some points! I was able to pick up the points I needed for well under $10 to get the final poster. Since you can't buy these this is the closest way to do so, and fairly cheap too! Click here to check out available points on eBay. If you don't have a DMR account, it's free to sign up. Make sure to check out this auction, where you can pick up 1000 points for about $10.

If you're fluent in the body of Star Wars fan sites that exist, you might want to visit a site that rhymes with "Plaque Place" (a cool dentist's office) and check out a cool rumor that sadly we won't be confirming or denying in fear of the wrath of a company that rhymes with "YazFlow" (I love that 80s band) as there are penalties for both revealing this sort of news as well as linking to it. As many of you know, Carrie Fisher released her newest book called “The Princess Diarist”, which reveals a rather personal account of the making of A New Hope from her unique perspective. I’m about halfway through the book, and it’s very good. Sure, the love affair with Ford is interesting, but her current perspective on showbiz vs her naiveté back in the 70’s is often quite revealing and hilarious. It’s a wonderful read, and gives a different perspective on the making of Star Wars. Amazon has the book at nearly half-off, so get it for yourself or that special feisty princess in your life.
