Hasbro returns the Star Wars line under three separate banners. We lose one of our classic sub-lines (Saga Legends) and in its place comes Movie Heroes, a line that will function at retail in a completely different manner than the previous Saga Legends line. Instead of straight repacks of desired figures and quick army builders, the Movie Heroes line will not only bring some popular repacks back into the line, but will also introduce some all-new figures. It's an affordable way for Hasbro to satisfy both the kid and collector niche while celebrating the upcoming 3D release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
Hasbro has a rejuvenated excitement for The Vintage Collection. While not all of 2012 was revealed, they did reveal enough figures to satisfy everyone. Hasbro promises it will be a huge year for Star Wars... and they even teased us that a super-deluxe vehicle is coming in 2012... and we'll find out what it is at Toy Fair.
