Entertainment Earth, a huge distributor of Hasbro Star Wars and a carrier of Hasbro Star Wars exclusives, posted an informal poll on their Facebook page. (The Vintage Collection or The Black Series?) The results, despite a small sampling so far, overwhelmingly lean one way, and probably not the way you think. Check it out. Hasbro should check it out too.

JTA is walking arm in arm and side by side with our very close friends at Bantha Skull to preserve any hope possible for the betterment of The Vintage Collection. Please let Hasbro know via social media and email, respectfully, that you demand more for this classic collection of Star Wars action figures. Let the campaign begin! #FightForTVC. JTA led the campaign for the relaunch of TVC, and it was successful as it came to fruition in 2017. If we all successfully worked together to do that, we certainly can do it again to get the figures we want! Hasbro Pulse Instagram: HERE. Hasbro Pulse Facebook HERE. Hasbro Twitter: HERE. Online Consumer Care HERE. Use #FightForTVC everywhere you reach out.

This is incredible news! My good friend Jimmy Mac from Rebel Force Radio is part of the next episode of Collector’s Call featuring host Lisa Whelchel (actress from The Facts Of Life, a competitor on Survivor).

Next time on Collector’s Call: ”Meet Eric Pfeifer.” After his first viewing as a child, Eric Pfeifer began collecting everything related to Star Wars. Now his collection is so vast — covering both floors of his house as well as its basement — that he holds regular “Pfeifer-Cons,” drawing people from near and far to come and view it. Eric is joined by his mom, Connie, who has nurtured his collection over the years. See the preview by clicking the image below!

It is time to become more active and show Hasbro that there is support and love for the 3.75″ line. Let’s no longer wait for Hasbro to announce the product but get involved! Kenner started it all in the 70s with the 3.75″ line, and this is still what most fans want to collect. However, we see a lot of re-issues, but there could be done a lot more to keep capturing the magic of Star Wars and keep collecting alive.

Rogue One is one of the fans’ favorite movies but didn’t see too much love yet in terms of products. General Merrick participated in the Alliance’s acquisition of the Galactic Empire’s plans to their ultimate weapon, the Death Star, in the Battle of Scarif, flying as leader of Blue Squadron in a T-65B X-Wing Starfighter.

The blue squadron is missing in the lineup of Hasbro’s X-Wings. Show your support and sign this petition to have Hasbro produce Merrick and his X-Wing in The Vintage Collection line. Hasbro should produce Merrick in The Vintage Collection packaging, and they should either include him carded with the X-Wing as they did with Jabba’s Palace, or produce both separately boxed and carded.

May the Force be with us.

Over the weekend, I chatted with my former best pal Chris Swanski (from BanthaSkull.com) via text. I decided I couldn’t be friends with him anymore after he wouldn’t shut up giving glorious praise for The Vintage Collection Death Star Gunner (VC147) figure. I tried to enlighten him by going through all of the talking points about what’s wrong with this figure, but he just kept texting back in all caps “I LOVE IT!” So, it’s time for us to move on now. Hey Chris, if you’re OK with the Death Star Gunner’s “snorkel-for-an-antenna” then I expect a full redaction on your opinions of the horrifying lightsaber-launching R2-D2 from 1998!

Egregiously out of scale proportions seemingly don’t faze Chris.

One of These Things is Not Like the Other!

It looks like Amazon has gotten their stock of the newest wave of The Vintage Collection. You can find Chewbacca, Lando, Phasma, and the Praetorian Guard as well as the repack wave all for retail price ($12.99). However, it would seem they are having some difficulty keeping enough VC140 Stormtroopers in stock to meet the demand. That’s caused the price to soar up to $23+. Yikes! Luckily you can still pre-order the best stormtrooper figure ever for $13.99 at Entertainment Earth.

Advertising Star Wars Toys Via Comic Books In The UK

Our friends at Fantha Tracks have put together a fantastic article that focuses on the advertising of Star Wars toys through comic books, specifically in the UK.
