Biker Scout - TAC - Saga Legends

These stormtroopers are stationed on planets instead of Imperial vessels. Their lightweight, flexible armor allows them to maneuver the high-velocity speeder bikes that they ride while conducting patrols – or when they're chasing Rebel intruders like the ones they encounter on Endor's moon.

The 2007 TAC Saga Legends line was especially important to Star Wars collectors because they were involved with the latter half of the action figure selection. Obscure pack-in figures, some of the rarer standard-released figures and some of the bets army builders you could possibly imagine were chosen by actual collectors – so show some gratitude for their persistence! One of the most popular figures of 2006 was an immediate choice for consideration and that would be 2006’s VTSC Biker Scout figure. Hasbro made it super easy for collectors again. Without any enhancements or updates (not that it needed any at all), Hasbro released the same exact figure in the 2007 TAC Saga Legends line as one of the many Fans’ Choice winners. It was one of the best decisions the collecting community made as a whole ever. Quite a few fans are quiet about loving Return Of The Jedi, but the fact remains that it has some of the best aliens and Imperials in all of the Original Trilogy Star Wars films. And as far as we’re concerned, the Biker Scout will remain one of the coolest Imperials ever designed.

The Biker Scout, also called a Scout Trooper (but not called that name all that often in the Hasbro modern line), comes to collectors in the same exact fashion as it did in 2006, save for the packaging. Obviously, no modern packaging will be able to eclipse the awesomeness of “vintage styled” packaging, but we have to admit that we’ve grown fond of the 30 (77-07) packaging. Despite its extremely modern angular look, there is something retro about it that makes it the perfect medium to transport our beloved Star Wars action figures. There is a bit of too much space in this particular line look, but keep in mind that the 30 (77-07) collection contains some of the largest accessories and figures yet in a Star Wars action figure line, so while Yoda and even a Biker Scout may have extraordinarily roomy bubbles, they’re large to accompany the likes of the 2007 TAC Darktrooper Saga Legends #1 Fans’ Choice figure or 2007’s TAC Hermi Odle (30 29) figure from the main basic figure lineup. These examples will prove to you the need for larger bubbles.

Biker Scout comes with 23 points of articulation. A ball-socket head is jointed by ball-jointed shoulders, elbows, torso, knees and ankles. And the remaining points including the forearms and hips give the Biker Scout its needed freedom to move about as you want him to including some pretty cool balancing acts that seem outside the figure’s center of gravity possibilities. With a little clever thinking and some patience, you’ll be able to achieve some rather realistically impressive configuration with the Biker Scout. (We even surprised ourselves at what we were able to achieve quite honestly.) The Biker Scout also comes with his small blaster pistol. It fits just “OK” in his hands, but fits much better in his holster found at his right ankle. If Hasbro could find a way to add ball-jointed hips, this figure would be perfect. But we’re still impressed with this figure’s likeness nonetheless. This was a fantastic choice for the Saga Legends line. We hope to see it for years to come.
