Man oh man. If there is ONE figure that epitomizes my joyous experiences in childhood, it would be Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues). This figure’s outfit was enough to make it one of my favorite figures in the original Kenner line. Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues) was so incredibly popular between my brother and me that it created a gentle rivalry between us. I recall bickering and lightly fighting whenever we wanted to take this action figure on our various adventures. Someone we got through childhood without hurting each other with just one action figure of Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues), and when I look back, I don’t know how that was possible. The blaster and lightsaber accessories became history a few short moments after removing the figure from the vintage Kenner packaging, but there were plenty of other figures with weapons that we utilized in their absence. Perhaps the greatest interaction with Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues) was the Dagobah Playset. In retrospect, the playset is a little simplified, but it brought hours of joy who grew up with it as a child. Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues) also sustained a running change with his hair color. There would be many shades in between blond and brown and even “orange” if you purchased this figure outside of the USA. Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues) also has three unique card back reference images: two from The Empire Strikes Back, and one from the Tri-Logo card back.
