Luke Skywalker, seeking the advice and training from a great Jedi Master, crashes his X-wing fighter into the murky swamplands of a mysterious planet. He is soon greeted by a strange creature, who reveals himself to be Yoda, the great Jedi Master Luke has been seeking.
Although impatient and frustrated with Yoda at first, Luke learns he should trust him and abide by his teachings. He knows he must learn everything he can about the ways of the Force if he is to defeat the Galactic Empire and his evil nemesis, Darth Vader. But before his training is complete, Luke Senses that his friends are in grave danger, and he must leave immediately to save their lives. He bids good-bye to Yoda, dresses for battle and races toward Bespin and Cloud City where he must face Vader in an incredible lightsaber duel.
Authentically styled straight from The Empire Strikes Back, Luke Skywalker is prepared for galactic battles with his familiar Bespin uniform and gear. The uniform includes Luke's utility belt, blaster and lightsaber. This special edition 12" figure, available for the first time ever, is destined to become a classic collectible.
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!
Just like Lando Calrissian, Luke Skywalker (In Bespin Fatigues) was also planned for the vintage Kenner Large Size Action Figure line. It never came to pass, but after more than a decade and a half, Kenner/Hasbro finally made Star Wars collectors’ dreams come true with the second wave of the Collector Series line. Both Lando Calrissian and Luke Skywalker (In Bespin Fatigues) (along with two variations of a Tusken Raider) make up wave 2 of the Collector Series line, and the efforts made by Kenner/Hasbro to produce better 12 Inch Figures are evident. Luke Skywalker (In Bespin Fatigues) has the same head sculpt as the first Luke Skywalker Collector Series figure, so it hasn’t improved that way, but the costuming is beautiful and captures two unique looks of Luke Skywalker from The Empire Strikes Back. Both his “Dagobah Jedi Training” and “Bespin Fatigues” styles are available to collectors here. The jacket is removable and reveals a tan tank top underneath. And for accessories, Luke Skywalker (In Bespin Fatigues) comes with a blaster pistol and a fully lit blue lightsaber. Sadly, the hilt and blade don’t separate from each other. This is frustrating because his belt has a hook to place the lightsaber hilt. But who wears a fully lit lightsaber? No one we know! Luke Skywalker (In Bespin Fatigues) was made from the standard 1996 buck which includes fourteen points of articulation. Some joints over more movement than others. Most collectors aren’t aware of a rare running change made to this figure. Luke’s hair is too blonde, and Kenner/Hasbro repainted the portrait and gave Luke Skywalker (In Bespin Fatigues) light BROWN hair. It’s a scarce variation of this figure and nearly impossible to find.
