Kenner/Hasbro needed a fourth figure to round out the third wave of Action Collection figures based on Return Of The Jedi. After releasing six Cantina Band figures the prior year in the Collector Series line, they took most of the figure, tweaks a couple of parts, designed a completely new outfit and musical instrument, and managed to create the Bith musician from Return Of The Jedi (Special Edition) update. Barquin D'an has a new portrait. Kenner/Hasbro needed to tweak the original since the newer version of the kloo horn comes with a hose and a tip that goes inside of the mouth. We’ve also noticed that some of the fingers on the hand look repositioned, but that could be packaging affecting that. The new outfit is excellently fabricated. Barquin D'an comes with a turtle neck sweater, a three-quarter length shirt, and fitted pants, all necessary for the entertainment industry. It honestly feels silly for Hasbro to release Barquin D'an in the Action Collection line when we don’t have the three core members yet in this 12 Inch Figure scale. Where are Sy Snootles, Droopy McCool, and Max Rebo? There are so many other characters collectors of this line want to see produced before an anonymous band member from the Special Edition. Where is Squid Head? Weequay? Ree-Yees? And all of the other aliens from Jabba’s Palace? But no, we have Barquin D'an to save the day!
