COLLECT THEM ALL!
On the newly constructed Death Star, Darth Vader and troops await the arrival of the Emperor.
What collectors of the Collector Series line could forget the moment the Darth Vader 12 Inch Figure hit shelves in 1996, and how thrilled we were to grab the figure after seeing the artwork on the box? Then who remembers opening up the front box flap to reveal the horrid figure inside? The Darth Vader Collector Series line is perhaps the worst Darth Vader figure in any scale of all time. Between the much-too-short-scale and the laughably large and ridiculously geometrically-shaped “Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em” gloves, Darth Vader was a horror to behold. Thankfully, in 1998, with the advent of The Kenner Collection, Kenner/Hasbro began paying closer attention to figures’ quality, and they developed an all-new properly-scaled Darth Vader Action Collection figure that looked like the on-screen character, and for the first time included a removable two-piece helmet revealing the unforgettable and battle-worn visage of Anakin Skywalker’s likeness. Simply put, the Darth Vader (Electronic) Action Collection figure is excellent. It may have some thickness issues, but overall, it’s one of the finest additions to the 1998 lineup. Collectors of this line will adore this figure. What’s more, Darth Vader (Electronic) “talks” thanks to the inclusion of four AAA batteries. The figure says multiple lines from Return Of The Jedi with the push of a button. It also makes lightsaber sound effects too. From the fitted body glove to the luxurious materials that crafted the robes and cape, Darth Vader (Electronic) is one of the finest releases of the year. You can thrown out your Collector Series Darth Vader 12 Inch Figure now. It’s completely useless now.
