Jord Dusat

General analysis!

A friend of THALL JOBEN's who helps him rescue R2-D2 and C-3P0 from INGO's barren, acid salt flats.

In every STAR WARS source, there is always a heavy. For DROIDS, it’s Jord Dusat. This “not” Chewbacca characters works hand in hand with “not” Han Solo Thall Joben and go on many adventure and misadventures together. A mechanic, a speeder racer, and an overall good guy, Jord Dusat comes into the possession of Artoo-Detoo (R2-D2) and See-Threepio (C-3PO) along with Thall Joben. They take ownership of them while the droids were separated from Raymus Antilles. That’s where the DROIDS timeline falls. The Kenner action figure is an animated take on an animated character. In other words, the action figure doesn’t look “this” animated in the television series. It seems as if Kenner decided to design the character based on its more exaggerated features, but the final action figure turned out well. It’s big and bulky. And Jord Dusat comes off as an intimidating character even though everything written about him seems to concur that he’s an overall pleasant person. The Kenner action figure of Jord Dusat is colorful, with lots of reds and purples used to bring the action figure to “life.” The packaging nameplate and figure backer are yellow, resulting in a highly colorful approach. Jord Dusat comes with the blaster from 1982’s ESB Zuckuss figure, without any changes. It’s still black. And the figure commands a hefty premium on the aftermarket today.
