The Star Wars Retro Collection is inspired by 1970s STAR WARS figures and features original figure design and detailing! Continue your collection from the galaxy far, far away!

Due to the way Disney handles things, Hasbro will likely play “catch up” for the duration they make Star Wars action figures, provided the line never ends. It isn’t easy to process, but here we are years out from the debut of The Mandalorian Disney+ series, and Hasbro is still getting to some of the main characters in the various lines. It’s not like collectors are thrilled about the Retro Collection line, but we now can add The Mandalorian (Beskar) figure in the 5POA 3.5-inch scale. You may want this figure, or you may scoff at it. Whatever you feel, Hasbro produced it, and it didn’t turn out half as bad as we thought it would. Hasbro found a decent shiny silver paint to color the action figure. Yes, it isn’t vac-metallization, but it still looks excellent from whatever process they used to give us the next best thing. Interestingly, Hasbro incorporated a soft-goods cape on this figure. It feels partly right and partly out of place. The fabric isn’t reminiscent of any vintage Kenner soft goods used back in the day. It has a spongy texture and a mostly singular drape. It seems too rigid for what it should be on the figure. Underneath the cape is a molded JT-12 jetpack. It has beautiful detail and looks nice on the figure. The Mandalorian (Beskar) comes with a blaster pistol and a ray gun that looks more like a blaster rifle than anything else. The Retro Collection isn’t for everyone. And collectors of The Vintage Collection line have stated they’re chagrin for the Retro Collection countless times. It seems they will remain a focus for Hasbro for right now. The Mandalorian (Beskar) has an MSRP of $10.99. It feels much too high for what this action figure is.
