All different types of droids populate the Star Wars galaxy. Each droid is different and has their own unique personality and colors. This droid is a very old and weary groundmech salavge assist unit that's been towing scrap for the Andor family for years. Join B2EMO on their adventures throughout the galaxy! May the Force be with you... and your Droids!
We see the various Disney Star Wars sources come together thanks to the Disney Star Wars Disney+ shows. And we’re also seeing this through the lens of the preliminary action figures. B2EMO, goodness what a terrible name, is the first 3.75-inch action figure based on the Andor series, and it looks familiar and reminiscent of some of the other droids seen in various films like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Solo: A Star Wars Story. In other words, B2EMO seemingly fits into the Disney Star Wars universe without issue, which is good for this new world they’re building. While there is some apprehension about what Disney will do to develop the character of Cassian Andor, at least they’re populating this series with some interesting other characters, like the droid B2EMO. It feels partially inspired by the Original Trilogy and the Disney Star Wars anthology films. We posed the figure next to an Obi-Wan Kenobi character to show the seamlessness between the two characters. The anticipation of this character is not that big but will serve as a sidekick to Andor.
The Disney Droid Factory line is often filled with new versions of the various astromech droids, but once in a while, they throw in some surprises of all-new action figures like B2EMO. The all-new action figure is scaled to be compatible with other 3.75-inch action figures. And you may be surprised to see how much articulation the figure has, especially since it looks like a statue in and out of the packaging. B2EMO comes with a swivel head. Thanks to this point, you can configure the droid in many ways, but the other points also assist you. There are two “slide-up” body sections, almost giving the effect as if B2EMO moves like an accordion. You can choose to have one section up at a time or both up together. Each section (once slid up) also swivels at the base. The choice is yours. And then all four feet move with swivel articulation (rotating 360 degrees), allowing you to pose the droid in a quasi-walking manner, or standing, for lack of a better description. Each foot also has a rolling wheel, a detail always appreciated in this line. As mentioned, the figure offers a decent amount of movement for what it is.
Most notable is B2EMO’s paint operations. Disney never takes shortcuts when they decorate their all-new action figures in the Droid Factory line. The “holiday” droids aren’t as fortunate as it seems, but the all-new characters get stunning paint operations. The mostly all-red droid has silvery flecks and scratches throughout it. This droid has been in the Andor family for years, so it makes sense why it looks well used and has such character. They also added a thin green stripe around the droid’s middle, and it helps break up the solid red body. The rear right foot is yellow, so perhaps this is a unique trait for this droid model, or it’s a replacement part meaning others have different colors too. B2EMO is also known y Bee-two and Bee and appears in the first episode of Andor. It’s produced by Groundmech and falls under the “salvage assist unit droid” class. We don’t know if Hasbro has plans to design their version of a 3.75-inch B2EMO droid, but it’s already been announced for The Black Series 6-inch line. We believe Hasbro could take its design further to impress TVC collectors.
