Riot Scout Trooper - TBS [P4] - Six Inch Figures (GG14)

Riot Troopers are deployed wherever the Empire need to put down insurrections. Armed with batons and heavy shields, there are few opponents who can penetrate their defenses, or stand against their brutal strikes.

Folks, we don’t know if it’s just us or if the line truly feels this way, but The Black Series line suffers from absolute boredom. It feels like Hasbro takes the cheapest route and shortcuts to make any of their new characters anymore. And we know our assessment is a bit harsh because what else could they do to produce the new Riot Scout Trooper from the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor video game? The character is uninspiring. So, the action figure will be uninspiring too. Hasbro took the standard Scout Trooper mold and produced a new vest/ammo belt piece, added an electropole with electro effect, and then a new battle shield. The figure looks alright, but Hasbro has yet to update its tiny hands, and their oversight is egregious at this point. They updated some of the Riot Scout Trooper’s paint operations, but nothing is out of the ordinary or all that different. But this release is extra painful because it uses an inferior sculpt from the earliest days of the line, and Hasbro set the MSRP at $27.99. It’s beyond unacceptable, and we’re not sure how much longer we will hold onto the line, and its never-ending nonsense. The Riot Scout Trooper is a decent figure despite its faults. It can be posed in various ways thanks to its excellent articulation system. And it appears Hasbro utilized a more robust plastic this time, which will help you pose the action figure. The Gaming Greats Riot Scout Trooper is a GameStop exclusive and is now available in stores and online. We don’t know how well it will do, but we hope Hasbro reassess how much they charge for this line of action figures. They’re pricing us out.
