SCAR Trooper Mic - TBS [PP] - Six Inch Figures

SCAR Trooper Mic is part of a Special Commando Advanced Recon team called Scar Squadron. Also known as Task Force 99, this tight-knit group is accustomed to operating on its own in the most hostile environments.

Hasbro is making fantastic use of its 2020 TBS [P4] Imperial Stormtrooper (TM20) figure. They've used it multiple times to produce various characters from the Star Wars universe, and now they've created a comic character called SCAR Trooper Mic based on the Star Wars 21 comic. The figure is notable because it comes with an all-new portrait, something rare with Stormtrooper repaints. But the all-new head sculpt has some exciting details that faithfully capture the uniqueness of this character from the Star Wars comics. Also of note, Hasbro designed a new backpack that attached to the OII pattern on the back, and while the effort is successful, it doesn't attach firmly as the fit could be better to create the needed friction to keep it in place. However, the all-new backpack breaks down into three distinct parts. We're impressed with Hasbro's effort to give it so much detail. Still, it feels unnecessary and wasted when its primary functionality, to stay on the back of the Stormtrooper body, fails. We also get an E-11 blaster and a removable wrist commlink. The gimmick of the Publishing Program is the packaging. Hasbro replicated the comic artwork on the figure's box, and it's colorful and engaging. Overall, there isn't much else to say about this figure. It's as dull as it is interesting. It's a well-made figure but offers very little in terms of newness. Like most other figures in this sub-line, Hasbro expects collectors to fork out $30+ to add them to their collection. That's laughable to us.
