Rey & Supreme Leader Kylo Ren - TROS - Galaxy Of Adventures (Exclusive)

Are you sick of Rey & Supreme Leader Kylo Ren yet? As if getting single versions of these two characters in the Galaxy Of Adventures line wasn’t enough, now we get them as a TARGET exclusive. But this time we get an alternate portrait of Kylo Ren not wearing the helmet (the figure comes with both head sculpts here). The Galaxy Of Adventures line is fantastic, but Hasbro is double-dipping WAY too soon. And instead of giving Supreme Leader Kylo Ren the alternate portrait in the basic figure release, they’ve reserved it for this retailer exclusive. Admittedly, both figures are excellently designed, but with the line instantly peg-warming, the decision to re-release characters already in the line is a poor decision on Hasbro’s part. Hasbro gave Walmart an all-new figure, Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) (the Galaxy Of Adventures figure), so why couldn’t they think outside of the box and produce Boba Fett or Greedo or Bossk Or *anything else* for TARGET? The reasoning eludes us. We don’t think the Rey & Supreme Leader Kylo Ren two-pack will perform well at all. Then again, stranger things have happened.

The Galaxy Of Adventures line has taken a turn for the better. While we’re not super-excited to see a new scale of figures introduced into the Star Wars toy line, we have to admit that these figures turned out exquisitely, and they’re already some of our most-favorite releases from Triple Force Friday. We hope that Hasbro takes the line into some uncomfortable routes and thinks outside of the box. Rey is another fantastic release in the Galaxy of Adventures line. Rey has one of the most beautiful sculpts in the Galaxy Of Adventures line. And this re-release of her doesn’t sport any new changes, as she is a straight repack. Hasbro did a fantastic job of translating her human features into an animated style. We can’t but notice her pronounced ears immediately. That aside, the rest of Rey turned out magnificently. The hairstyle, the costume, the articulation, and the accessories all work together like a well-oiled machine and deliver a premium version of Rey that collectors of all ages can enjoy. With her doe eyes and athletic build, she offers a great deal to the GOA line.

Rey comes with a blaster and a lightsaber, and exclusive to this release, a backpack purse. The blaster fits like a glove into the functioning holster around her waist. The hilt of Luke’s lightsaber that she is borrowing is very thick, and it’s a bit of a challenge to wrap her hand around the hilt, but it is possible to achieve. Rey has another beautiful sculpt in the Galaxy Of Adventures line. But Hasbro did another excellent job of translating Supreme Leader Kylo Ren's unique characteristics into an animated style, too. From his lean body frame to his battle-damaged helmet, Hasbro gave us a lot to appreciate with this figure. The figure comes with a lightsaber and interchangeable un-helmeted portrait. The character’s outfit hasn’t changed much throughout the years, and they ensured they remained faithful to this character’s traits. Overall, this set is nice and fairly priced. And if you want the exclusive accessories, right now, this is the only way to acquire them. In all honesty, we’re worried about the Galaxy Of Adventures line. We wish it well, but it doesn’t appear to move on shelves.
