The Shaak Ti mini bust is approaching one year old this June, but due to the glut of product, she has been put on many collector backburners, including ours. We just picked up this mini bust on clearance at the Entertainment Earth birthday celebration and were stunned with the quality and sculpt of this beautiful piece. It is truly underrated, so we wanted to pass along some photos to hopefully whet your appetites and create some desire to add it to your collections as well. Click through for photos!

Most of us were raised with very good manners and taught not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but one can't help but question the warning label on the bottom of the free General Grievous mugs Entertainment Earth is giving out as part of their birthday celebration promotion. Dan "The Man" Curto posts the exciting news at Rebelscum.com that a photo of The Legacy Collection Stormtrooper Commander showed up in their forums. LOST fans! Tonight's episode is called "Some Like It Hoth," a play on the 1959 Marilyn Monroe film, "Some Like It Hot". After an intense search on Wikipedia and Yahoo!, the only reference to Hoth we could find is our beloved system from The Empire Strikes Back. So, with no other prior knowledge, it will be interesting to see if Episode V is indeed mentioned in some way, or if we are just totally off base with our assumption here....find out at 9:00 PM (EDT).

It's
not like Hasbro has not been completely up front with us this year when they
explained that it would be a difficult year for packaging variant collectors
and this latest find confirms this dread. Older Build A Droid figures keep
showing up with the latest droid factory parts. Here is hopefully a
complete variation overview of what has just been rereleased. If you know
of any other figures that contain new R5-A2 and/or R2-L3 parts, please drop
us a line so we can post. Read
through for all of the details.

The good people over at JediDefender.com have received a grim response from Hasbro about the breadth of what will come down the pike for collector based figures (among other things). Admitting to decreases in sales across multiple sublines, Hasbro explains what their refocused vision will be for the Star Wars brand. This is why we need to vote with our dollars! Hot off of the heels of their fantastic $4.99 basic figure sale (or during - who really knows), Kmart cuts the price to their (exclusive?) Legends Of The Saga 5 pack that includes 2000's POTJ Darth Maul (repainted), 1999's POTF Darth Vader (CommTech with new parts), 2001's POTJ Boba Fett (300th Figure - repainted), 2004's Luke Skywalker (Jabba's Palace - repainted), and 1999's EI Obi-Wan Kenobi (repainted with soft-goods cloak). The differences are enough to annoy you. Originally as high as $27.49, it has been found for the low price $13.60 each at a New Jersey Kmart today. Now is the time to act if you have been holding off on this set. Oh, and their $4.99 basic figures are back up to $9.89 today too! Ouch! Click through for proof.

Toys R Us is currently having a sale on some completely random Star Wars merchandise (as well as many other items). Although not that much on sale is impressive, it may be worth your while to check our some of the clearance items including vehicles, figures, and costumes. For example, the 30 (77-07) Rebel Honor Guard is currently in stock for $3.48!

Toys R Us seemed to be the store to hit this Easter weekend! Not only were the pegs stuffed to the gills with figures, many of their exclusives were put out for the first time too! The previous WAL*MART exclusive The Force Unleashed three packs that were $14.76 have now been repackaged into the blue and white line look and made TRU exclusives for $19.99. While the package is not nearly as appealling as the 30 (77-07) version, it is nice for Hasbro to put these out again so quickly since many collectors had missed out the first time. So far they look like exact repacks, but we'll be sure to let you know if the paint jobs are different at all. Click through for larger pics!

Special The Clone Wars tri-logo figure card backs have been found here in the states at Kmart locations. The Wave 1 figures are identical to their American counterparts and a tri-lingual 30 (77-07) and The Clone Wars micro brochure is contained within it. These were avaiable for $4.99 each through yesterday at Kmart stores, but will be unfortunately back up to $9.89 when they open their doors Monday morning. Click thumbnail for a larger view!

Fellow collectors! JTA asks that you join us in the request to Hasbro to treat us to Captain Fordo in phase II armor from the original animated Clone Wars series for the basic figure line. For heaven's sake, we even have a bust-up of him from Gentle Giant. He had such a major role in Volume 2 of the series, it is almost unfair that he hasn't been visited in 3.75" glory. We know that Hasbro has basically said 'goodbye' to the orginal Clone Wars series, but maybe they can squeak one or two more into our collections periodically. (And this figure could be a simple kit-bash or repaint of older figures too, perfect for their annual repack/repaint waves!) Let your voice be heard in our forums!

If you are Sideshow Collectibles fan like myself, then you may be a little sad to find out that you will have to wait longer for your 12" Darth Vader figure. Originally slated for a first quarter 2009 release, the item has been delayed until third quarter 2009. So, we must learn patience and wait before we get the leader of the Imperial army. Both versions of the figure are currently sold out, but get on either the regular or exclusive Wait List now!

The Sideshow Collectibles 12" 1/6 scale Obi-Wan Kenobi (Jedi Knight) from Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones has arrived to much collector excitement. Although many may have unfortunately overlooked this figure (as assumed by the very low edition size), it is definitely worth its weight in praise. While there isn't much new presented here, Ewan McGregor's likeness has been perfectly captured and the costuming has reached new levels in authenticity. Click through for a quick review and additional photos.
