I am so glad I don't collect these [ugly] figures, because something like this would enrage me to the point of probably compromising my health. Nothing like this should be limited, especially with a new Star Wars film coming in addition to the low numbers of the Disney Elite Series figures. Only minutes after they went on sale via lottery system, over 50 listings instantly appeared on eBay. Save these for collectors, folks. Hope exists that they'll be available at DisneyStore.com, but only time will tell. Just wait until Boba Fett gets released. Sheesh!

Could The Black Series C-3PO finally be revealed? We're inclined to believe yes it has, but that's just a guess. JTA reader Julian C. sends us images to our Facebook page of bootleg The Black Series 6" Star Wars figures. Yes, it's a bootleg, but as you know from past bootlegs, they (whoever "they" are) actually cast these figures from the actual Hasbro figures. If you recall, C-3PO has been confirmed as a "coming soon" TBS6 figure for a LONG TIME now. Not only has Hasbro confirmed it to us, but he was also confirmed through an exclusive JTA reveal from June when the fussy protocol droid appeared in a Walmart computer listing. Let's hope the final figure looks better than this one does (thanks to vac-metallization and better use of articulation)! Again, this is us just surmising as we could be way off the mark here. But we imagine that the molds must have arrived at some plant in China now and production was halted because of the vac-metallization issue. We'll just have to wait and see obviously.

Force Friday continues? That's what we have just learned. As always, we suggest taking every rumor that isn't confirmed by Hasbro with a grain of salt of course, but sources close to us say that Hasbro will continue launching new products once a month through December on a Friday. The next "launch" is October 9th supposedly (which makes a whole lot of sense based on our official statement from Hasbro we posted earlier today) and November's date is the 6th. Of course, distribution doesn't mean every location will get products at the same time, but it is expected we'll start seeing trends of new products arriving across the country in relatively the same time frame. In the "October 9th launch", it's expected that we'll see The Black Series 3.75" wave 2 from Walmart as well as the Nerf Millennium Falcon (among other things).

So, the good news surrounding the Walmart exclusive The Black Series 3.75" line is that they are selling quite well. We have received multiple reports from surprised readers of how their local stores have these figures and now they're history. (Hopefully wave 1 wasn't produced in TPM 3D quantities and waiting to arrive from a warehouse somewhere.) The bad news (if you ordered these online) is that they're arriving with huge white stickers covering up half the box.

Make sure to pre-order the Star Wars: The Force Awakens soundtrack! In this day and age of digital, purists and old-schoolers like myself will still want to have the hard copy CD to add to their collection! Due to arrive on December 18th, just in time for the movie!

JTA reader Patrice P. sends us a store report that the Jakks Pacific Yoda has hit France. I believe there have been a few USA reports also. Admittedly, this figure reminds me a lot of the 1980/1981 Yoda puppet from the Kenner line.

You saw us bring attention to this multipack a while ago, but now we have a closer look. JTA reader Bradley S. graciously sends us boxed images of the new Disney Droid Facotory Astromech 4-pack now hitting the theme parks. It retails for just under $30 and comes with Build A Droid versions of astromechs we have seen before as well as an all-new character. Interestingly, the box declares that these are from The Force Awakens. I guess we will just have to wait and see. Perhaps the most interesting addition here is an R0 unit, a first for Star Wars. Some of our readers had asked in our review of the Armor Up Poe Dameron figure if the head could be placed on the Build A Weapon figure. The short answer is yes, although it does fit on a tad too loosely for our liking. Of course, a removable helmet version comes with the pack-in figure, but if you want to avoid paying $50 for something that is worth about half that price, you can save money this way. JTA reader Sean sends us photographic evidence that The Force Awakens Two-Packs are showing up at Toys R Us now! You have anew place to look for these figures now!

JTA Facebook reader Kyle O. has informed us that he reached out to Hasbro UK and they confirmed that the UK will indeed be seeing The Black Series 3.75" Walmart exclusives at ASDA. Now, we aren't able to confirm this beyond the message he relayed to us, but hopefully this will be announced in some official capacity by Hasbro UK in the near future.

UPDATE: Our friends at Jedi News reported this news yesterday and it is officially confirmed.

JTA reader Paul H. (not me) from the UK has tipped us off to another new post at Order Sixty Six Toys. If you haven't seen it before, this is the Argos exclusive First Order Stormtrooper and Poe Dameron two-pack. It has been suggested by many that this might just be the TARGET exclusive TBS 2-pack that has shown up on rumor lists (although this claim has yet to be confirmed). Check it out though!

UPDATE: We just learned that this news originated from member Zulithe in Rebelscum's forums (who is also one of our readers).

CONFIRMED! We have just learned that the Toys R Us exclusive The Black Series Six Inch First Order Snowtrooper Officer is labeled SW E7 BLACK SERIES VILLAIN TROOPER BLUE on the case. So this is the figure that has been coming up on our rumor reports as Blue Trooper/Trooper Blue. At the moment none of us should expect a Clone Lieutenant or anything similar. The rumors keep getting stronger and stronger that he is in some way connected to Boba Fett. We'll wait for the film before we make judgment on that. Our friends at StarWarsFiguren.com have tipped us off to another exclusive The Black Series 6" figure. Roughly translated using Google Translate, the text in their forums says "From Hasbro's Star Wars Black Series this exclusive action figure of an Imperial Shock Troopers comes from the video game " Star Wars Battlefront ". It is about 15 cm tall and comes with accessories in a window box." We are also waiting for more information on this figure.

How can he possibly see through those opaque yellow goggles? We suppose it doesn't matter. Our friends at Rebelscum.com have alerted us to the 3.75" Goss Toowers figure. He looks to be a close relative of Asty. We'll have to see to be sure. On a side note, it's utterly flabbergasting that Hasbro has not relayed this information to fan sites in an official capacity yet. It's simply mind blowing that we're learning about Hasbro's new Star Wars line through dribs and drabs and leaks on the internet.

Our friends at Yakface.com have alerted us to another new 3.75" figure reveal. Check out PZ-4C0, a cool new droid in The Force Awakens. This MAY also be one of the figures in the upcoming Walmart exclusive The Black Series assortments. Our friends at BanthaSkull.com revealed a listing called Sidekick Battler Blue which may just be this character (but that is just a guess).

While photographing images for The Black Series [P3] Constable Zuvio figure, I couldn't help but notice what I would consider a relatively strong resemblance to Boba Fett, but in an unconventional way. Clearly Zuvio's face is nothing like Fett's supposedly looks like, but check out the costume a little more carefully. It looks like a deconstructed version of Boba Fett's up to an including the shoulder armor and the gauntlets. Heck, even the skirt looks like the hem has been ripped out of Fett's jumpsuit. Same color and everything. I honestly can't take credit for this connection.... after discussing these points with a friend I had learned that discussions similar to this have already occurred. But between the red, green, yellow and gray costume, the shape of the armor as well as the designs of color on them, could it be possible that there is indeed some connection between Constable Zuvio and our most favorite bounty hunter of all, Boba Fett?

He makes up one-third of the first wave of The Black Series [Phase III] 3.75" Walmart exclusive figures, but will you want him is the real question you'll be asking yourself. One of the coolest things about a new Star Wars product launch is that all the various Star Wars fan sites are beating to their own drum and focusing on different products all at once. We received an email from UK reader Michael G. who has been told that the US Walmart exclusive 3.75" The Black Series line will not be coming to the UK by a Hasbro UK representative. She confirmed that the 3.75" is no longer active. As of this moment that is indeed true, but we also know that the "right" people are involved working on this to have this changed so that our friends across the pond might have the chance to get these action figures. Something's got to be rotten in Denmark with the availability of The Force Awakens line. I sincerely hope we will NOT be experiencing Rebels 2.0 with this. We will continue to dig for information with our confidential sources to see if we can get some solid information on this, but click through to read an anonymous reader's account of his experience and follow-up questions with a manager at Toys R Us in Times Square NY. Apparently they were woefully stocked too. But the scattering Hasbro reps is what REALLY caught my attention....

Something had to have gone awry between corporate retail and Hasbro. Whether stores didn't expect The Force Awakens stuff to be a hit or not, it just doesn't seem that there is enough to go around. JTA reader Matt C. sends us an image of his local Walmart. While we suppose it's cool to see new exclusive figures, look what ISN'T hanging from the shelves! But this is a widespread issue.

JTA reader Martin M. found quite a bit on his toy run recently including a figure he's been looking to  secure for a while now at a Disney store on sale! But he found some other gems as well. Click through fro his report!

We just had The Force Awakens launch a couple of days ago and some collectors are already finding wave 2 of the Build A Weapon figures at Kohls. Kmart quickly informs customers as to why certain The Force Awakens products haven't arrived to shelves yet. I wonder if we will be seeing a lot more of this in the near future. I don't think any retail establishment expected The Force Awakens stuff to sell-out as quickly as it did.

Kmart.com reveals The Black Series 6" First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter and how it looks in a box. It looks as if this may be the first vehicle this big in The Black Series packaging.

I just had to type up my two cents on the potentially grim future of The Black Series 3.75" line at Walmart. It's starting off gaspingly bad. And it makes me wonder if my championing for its health has completely fallen on Hasbro's deaf ears. Whomever planned this as the startup wave for Walmart needs a quick shake. It's time to wake up and pay attention to the collectors you've designed this line for because we want it to succeed as much as you and Walmart do. But packing decade old sculpts and recent re-releases is a perfect recipe for major storm damage disaster. (more....)

JTA's Paul was out-and-about this morning continuing the hunt and found the Walmart exclusive The Black Series 3.75" figures! Darth Vader looks to be at first glance the 500th Darth Vader with swivel shoulders and swivel elbows.

We shared this Walmart commercial on our Facebook page and it went over so incredibly well that we thought it warranted a front page share. You probably have seen it on TV by now, but check out this beautiful "legacy" Star Wars commercial, and yes, that's a 1983 vintage Kenner Return Of The Jedi Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight Outfit) figure being pulled out of the brown bag!

It's been complete chaos for us, so we haven't had time to post all of the official PRESS RELEASE images on all of the Hasbro official announcements. So we relegated to posting galleries on Facebook. If you're not normally a Facebook user, please just bite the bullet and check them out there. There were quite a few new reveals like the Kmart exclusive TBS6 Kylo Ren and Walgreens TBS6 Emperor's Wrath Darth Vader. Thank you for your patience.

This really isn't whining. It just comes from mild frustration. But how can Disney make a beautiful chromed (faux or otherwise) Captain Phasma part of a six-pack for $14.95 (albeit smaller figures) while Hasbro's single basic 3.75" Captain Phasma is only cast in a bright silver colored plastic? Has anyone seen this Captain Phasma in person? Does this image accurately reflect what was in the packaging?

We have some cool inside scoop for you! Hold onto those Toys R Us receipts! A confidential informant has alerted to the fact that a new Toys R Us ad goes live this Sunday. Notice that all 3.75" figures are BOGO 40% off, but there's also been a memo that has been sent out that inventory will be in short supply for the entire season due to "vendor availability". (That's quite interesting, isn't it? Déjà vu?) Stores will be receiving special Fedex shipments Saturday to hopefully fill some holes for Sunday's ad. But for those of you that trekked out to buy these figures, bring in your cash register receipt for a price adjustment. (It's within their policy's time frame!) Good luck to all! You're welcome! :)

As we have been hinting for a while now, vintage-styled figures in clam shells are coming exclusively to Toys R Us in the USA next month (or about that time frame). Wait for the "official" announcement soon! You're welcome. This means, in summary, The Black Series 3.75" is a Walmart exclusive (the only big box store as of now) and vintage-styled 3.75" figures are a TRU exclusive, which may or may not be renamed as The Chrome Collection.

Site 4LOMKuss.com seems to have a little bit more clarity on a super-articulated 3.75" basic figure line, a rumor we have presented since April to our readers. We're not sure what to make of this entirely, because while it's clear that this is an updated Walmart rumor, we have been told that this type of product is exclusive to Toys R Us. (Maybe multiple chains are involved in this super-articulated line after all! – something a retired veteran reporter told me recently.) Anyhow, check out the updated rumor! Hopefully these aren't "Armored Up" Wave 2 figures – thanks CJ!)

UPDATE: We spoke with someone who knows more about this and this is what he said "They are $12.93 and they say The Black Series. And they are on order." So take this as you wish.
