It's now time for me to pass `Star Wars' on to a new generation of filmmakers. And with that, the biggest Star Wars entertainment news since the announcement of the Prequel Trilogy has just hit the internet! Disney has just purchased Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion! With this announcement we get Star Wars: Episode VII in 2015, plus even more! And before you double-check your calendar, today is NOT April Fools!

In the animated television series Star Wars: Droids – The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO, Boba Fett acquires BL-17, a Battle Legionnaire battle droid created to serve Mandalorian Protectors during the Clone Wars. Earlier this week, Angry Birds Star Wars was announced.  A few moments later, Hasbro announced a whole new toyline to release alongside the app's release.  Brian's Toys has all the pre-orders you are looking for, including the Early Bird Pack, AT-AT Attack, Koosh, and many more! Also new for pre-orders are a new Transformers Prime Shared Exclusive.

Fresh off the truck this week is a new 12" Jumbo Greedo from Gentle Giant, VGA-Graded video games, Vintage, AFA, and an International Version of the Darth Maul Statue.

One noteworthy item this week is a Darth Vader inflatable building topper that could be seen across the country on top of Burger Kings everywhere.  This 9-foot tall Vader was once a target for many collectors once the promotion was over, but this topper has never been used and still in it's original factory carton!

We believe that this may just be the first time we are seeing all of these figures carded. JTA reader The Droid You're Looking For sends us a "surprise": the fourth wave of Movie Heroes figures in The Phantom Menace 3D packaging. These just arrived in Singapore, but we wonder if these will hit American soil. Only time will tell. Check these out!

This time, the Techno uni0n is creating battle droids with shells made of cortosis, a material that blocks lightsaber attacks, making these droids a particular threat to the Jedi... In the comic Star Wars: General Grievous, the cyborg general has dark plans for a group of innocent young Padawans. At the same time, the astromech droid CB-3D assists a rogue team, including the droid's master Flynn Kybo, on a mission to hunt down and eliminate Grievous... Jedi Temple Archives is gearing up for the 2013 Legacy Collection lineup! Before you start criticizing us, yes, we're very sad to see The Vintage Collection go to bed for the time being. But we are very happy about the opportunity to build droids again. If you think about it, what better value for our wallets than to get an extra two or three droids to help amortize costs at no extra "charge" per each new case of figures? JTA is looking back at the red phase of the Legacy Collection. We've updated our RDRs and VGs for you and we wanted to make you aware of these updates.
