Celebrate the legacy of Star Wars, the action-and-adventure-packed space saga from a galaxy far, far away, with this collection of premium, highly-detailed 3.75-inch scale figures and vehicles. (Each sold separately. Subject to availability.)

Collectors of The Black Series [Phase III] 6” got their The Mandalorian action figure on Triple Force Friday, but longtime The Vintage Collection collectors had to wait months later for their version to arrive. The wait was worth it. The Vintage Collection’s The Mandalorian action figure follows in the footsteps of the beloved 3.75” super-articulated line and gives collectors an excellent representation of the fan-favorite character of a beloved series on the newly founded Disney+ streaming service. The Mandalorian action figure is excellently designed, although we can’t claim its issue free. The figure has beautiful paint operations. Not all of the colors match panel per panel when compared with the 6” version, but there is no denying that Hasbro carefully applied the deco to assure a cleanly painted and screen-accurate action figure. Interestingly, Hasbro got the deco in the midsection correct on the 3.75” figure. You’ll notice this area behind the armor is gray. On the 6” figure, they painted it brown, probably due to the lighting in the reference images they had. We prefer the deco of the helmet on the 6” figure, however, because it appears lighter. The Vintage Collection helmet looks too dark, even though Hasbro attained a realistic metallic effect for its paint job. Overall, the deco on The Mandalorian turned out exceedingly well. And the figure looks great with its other TVC parallel figures and vehicles.

Where The Mandalorian may have a few issues is not something that can be fixed at this point. The Mandalorian character is about the same height as our favorite Mandalorian Boba Fett. But as you can see in our Photo Gallery, The Mandalorian is significantly taller than the Original Trilogy bounty hunter. Also, many others have commented about this; it seems as if quite a few collectors would have liked this action figure to come with a removable helmet. At the time of the figure's production, he character's likeness was unknown. Generally speaking, we strive for The Vintage Collection to have unequivocal screen-accuracy, and Hasbro thought they were achieving this when designing the action figure. Since we now know what the man underneath the helmet looks like yet, Hasbro can now produce a “removable helmet” version of the character. We only wish that they lightened the color of it a little bit. The Mandalorian comes with a stunning articulation system, but one that’s becoming standard for The Vintage Collection. The figure comes with an expected, yet impressive, 30 points of articulation. The articulation system as a whole has fantastic functionality. And because of its fluidity, you can achieve an impressive wealth of poses. Hasbro released many Mandalorian action figures in their long history with the license, but it’s evident how far they’ve come with a character like The Mandalorian. We hope Boba Fett and Jango Fett receive the same treatment down the road.

For accessories, The Mandalorian comes with a removable plastic-molded cape. Many collectors wished that Hasbro added a soft-goods cape with this action figure. But we think the molded version is excellent. They followed the same approach for the 6” figure as well. The Mandalorian also comes with a blaster pistol that fits into a functional holster on his belt. It also fits beautifully into the figure's right hand if you’re interested. Our most-favorite accessory, the ray staff, is a gift here. It’s impressive to us how Hasbro managed to design the same interconnectivity of the ray staff to the figure (and through the bandolier no less) that they did for the 6” figure. It’s incredible to receive confirmation that they can achieve the same features for 3.75” super-articulated action figures that they can for the 6” line, which is easier to achieve, in our opinion. When fully assembled with accessories in place, The Mandalorian looks as if it jumped off the television screen and into your hands. Thanks to super-articulation, The Mandalorian achieves lifelike poses while holding the weapons. Hasbro should be proud of their accomplishments here. The Mandalorian might not be perfect, but it has too much going for it, and you’ll quickly forget what bugs you about it because there is too much “good” outweighing the “bad.” This action figures will be one of TVC’s hottest. Mark our words.
