Obi-Wan Kenobi is set years after the climactic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced the corruption of his friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Hey everyone! It’s a brand new sculpt for The Black Series 6-inch line, so that means it’s a “deluxe” figure. The Deluxe sub-line from Hasbro is a scam. And now that it’s painfully apparent that Hasbro has a $0.00 tooling budget for new figures in the line, they’re trying to make up for it by overcharging for basic figures and designating them as Deluxe figures instead. There aren’t a ton of accessories included. And NED-B isn’t inordinately larger than many other figures in the line already. So why the laughable $33.99 MSRP for this action figure? Well, not even Amazon believed them. They must have seen the ridiculous cost of the figure, and they reduced it to $23.61 before they processed the orders and shipped it. And honestly, $23.61 is the most Hasbro should have charged us for this character from Obi-Wan Kenobi. Unfortunately, it’s back up to the MSRP as of this posting. The NED-B 6-inch figure is excellent, and Hasbro did a beautiful job on the figure’s tooling and deco. The all-new figure comes with plenty of ball-jointed articulation, and the figure comes with a removable backpack, hammer, and droid blaster. What’s more, the figure interacts with all the accessories nicely. Despite two points of articulation, there isn’t a lot of movement in the head. But the rest of the body is flexible, and you’ll be impressed with the many poses you’ll achieve while playing with it. The striking yellow base color of the figure stands out from the rest of your collection. And the light blue accent arm with matching highlighting Aurebesh on the collar and backpack pull everything together. It’s unknown how popular this droid will be for Star Wars collectors. But so far, we have it in the Retro Collection and Droid Factory lines too. This release is a beautiful figure if you can find it reasonably, but laugh and move on if you see it for more than $25.
