Quinlan Vos awakens with no memory of who or what he is, and immediately finds himself in peril, in the midst of a fierce blaze and attacked by bounty hunters. He is saved by Vilmarh Grahrk, who helps him escape and explains that bets are being placed on Quinlan's chances of survival. Villie reveals that he has a personal stake in the outcome, but changes his outlook when he sees Quinlan's Jedi skills in action.

We have never really understood fully why so many collectors are into Quinlan Vos. He made a very brief cameo appearance in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and ever since he's become sort of a phantom himself in the second and third Star Wars films. Despite his lack of showing in Episode II and Episode III, there has always been a growing desire to see him as an action figure. Always a strong performing Fans’ Choice poll candidate, Quinlan Vos makes his debut and comes to fans in the Comic Packs line. Well made, but not entirely accurate to his look in the Dark Horse comics, it seems that a revisit down the road will be required before collectors are entirely satiated. We bet that collectors won’t care much about this and will just be happy to have him in realistic 3.75” scale at this point. He comes well articulated above the wait, but his lower half only comes with hip joints. Thankfully he has a great center of gravity and has been designed with flat feet so standing him up isn’t the slightest issue at all. Well painted and well detailed, Quinlan Vos comes prepared for battle with a lightsaber and a blaster pistol that fits into a functioning holster.

More of an opening act than a headliner, many other fans of the Expanded Universe are probably thrilled to get Vilmarh “Villie” Grahrk, either equally to or less than Quinlan Vos. This Devaronian smuggler and scoundrel has ties all over the galaxy including a mission with famed Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Throughout his career he has come in contact wit some powerful and rogue Jedi. In no particular order Aayla Secura, Master Tholme, T’ra Saa and Master Zao all had the pleasure of dealing with Grahrk at one point in their lives. And as any gambler would do, Vilmarh used his talents to make deal to save his hide. Hasbro brought the slippery and sleazy character of Vilmarh Grahrk to life with this Comic Packs set. He has an evil grimace on his face which makes him appear completely untrustworthy. This is testament to the skill Hasbro’s sculptors’ possess. This guy looks like the devil in disguise. Although Vilmarh Grahrk may not have any articulation below the hips, he is still very well designed and sculpted and excellently transcribed from the comics into an action figure. You're definitely going to like this figure a lot folks.

Obviously, Quinlan Vos and Vilmarh Grahrk pair up very nicely. They have quite a length interaction with each other in the comics. And in some bizarre way their personalities complement each other very well. And interestingly they come with the same exact articulation as action figures. We would have of course loved to see at least ball-jointed knees thrown into the mix here, but it’s hard to complain when Hasbro has created magnificently awesome and extremely detailed action figures like these for a small sub-group of EU collectors. There is a lot to fall in love with here and if you can get past the limited articulation, you’ll quickly see just how great these two all-new action figures are indeed. Quinlan Vos, just like Aayla Secura, has made a name for himself and he’s made it into the movies. Whether you’re a fan of the Prequel Trilogy or not, you have to give credit to a character that only existed previously in two-dimensional form, to garner this much attention and become almost larger than life. Hasbro took notice and created a great set. Definitely check it out sometime!
