If you’re going to be recreating a galaxy from far far away, then you have to be sure to include the scum and villainy that give it depth, so that’s exactly what we’ve done. Joining Sideshow’s gathering of the finest bounty hunters in the galaxy is the Zuckuss Sixth Scale Figure.

Available exclusively through Sideshow, our Zuckuss Sixth Scale Figure offers a brand new sculpt and costume. This Gand features a detailed portrait with respirator tank and tubes, fabric costume (that includes padded undersuit), leather-like harness and pouches, a back-mounted respirator diagnostics pack, and armored boots.

Of course, you’re not a bounty hunter that Vader utilizes if you’re not well armed. That said, Zuckuss comes equipped with one set of gun firing hands, a set of neutral rifle grip hands, and a GRS-1 Snare Rifle.

For those who choose to collect those in the Star Wars universe who do the collecting, you won’t want to miss out on our own Zuckuss Sixth Scale Figure!

It’s quite a phenomenon. Zuckuss is the Omega of bounty hunters, and this applies figuratively as well as literally. Maybe it’s because his name begins with the letter “z” or maybe it’s because he is one of the most difficult bounty hunters from The Empire Strikes Back that one can make out clearly. We’re not sure, but time after time and licensee after licensee Zuckuss is more often than not the tail-end Charlie every single time. Ultimately this doesn’t matter as long as he gets produced. And that’s where we are with Sideshow Collectibles 1:6 Scale Figures line. We finally have the Gand bounty hunter in a high-end 12” version, and the final production figure is gorgeous. Sideshow Collectibles has come remarkably far with how they execute their 1:6 Scale Figure line and a bounty hunter like Zuckuss is clear evidence of this revised approach. With incredible attention to detail in the portrait and painstaking study of the costume and accessories, the makers of this 1:6 Scale Figure should be proud because Zuckuss is a shining example of what Sideshow Collectibles accomplishes in a quality line like this. Besides, we all wanted all six bounty hunters completed by Sideshow Collectibles. They now complete that feat with Zuckuss.

We are in love with Zuckuss’ portrait. In our opinion it appears that the coloring may be too light, but the detail of the head sculpt is beyond impressive. It captures every nuance of the onscreen character. From the harsh lines that create his unique head shape to the porous texture etched into its contour, Zuckuss exemplifies what can be achieved in this scale. Zuckuss is lifelike and realistic. It’s hard to think that this character was just an actor with a mask on his head. Zuckuss’ trench coat is another amazing example of what can be accomplished in this scale as well. It has all of the right wrinkles and crinkles that the onscreen costume has. The texture is flawless and has a shininess that isn’t overbearing or exaggerated. It also has a “live in” look to it which not only makes it a believable piece of attire for this bounty hunter, but emphasizes that no detail was left untouched. His harness (which also includes a cod section covering) is beautifully tooled in some faux leather materials and completes his outfit perfectly. It also helps to keep the trench coat bound like how it fell in the film. Also, the trench coat breaks at his boots which shows that its length is perfect. As you can see, Sideshow Collectibles was intent on creating as accurate a figure here as possible.

One negative about Zuckuss is that he is too lightly accessorized. Granted, this character only utilized one weapon in The Empire Strikes Back, but we always loved it in the past when Sideshow Collectibles added some “off screen” accessories to pair with their figures to keep them unique and special. For example, in the past they’ve included realistic models of vintage Kenner inspire weapons, or they thought outside of the box and came up with their unique ideas, like the Han Solo “Wanted Posted” that was paired with the exclusive version of Greedo (Bounty Hunter). We don’t see any of that great stuff with Zuckuss, but we would have loved to see something like that. Zuckuss comes with his signature GRS-1 snare rifle and one set of interchangeable hands. And aside from his costume parts, this is all we get. Regardless, Zuckuss looks great despite his lack of accessories. We’d also like to comment on his silhouette. More often than not, licensees have always had difficulty with this shorter stature without making him look too stout. But with this Sideshow Collectible release, they managed to keep him shorter without sacrificing his lean frame. We are grateful for that. Zuckuss is a fantastic release. You should get him to complete your bounty hunter collection.
