The fate of the Star Wars universe is in your hands!

From The Phantom Menace to A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi, the Star Wars galaxy is filled with the greatest heroes, cruelest villains and the most colorful characters ever created. And only Hasbro brings them all to life with detail, authenticity and fun. To see the full line of figures, vehicles, creatures and playsets, check out starwars.hasbro.com.

Once a passive protocol droid, 4-LOM altered his programming to become a master thief and information broker. He now serves as Jabba the Hutt's "nonofficial emissary" in the hunt for Han Solo and Princess Leia.

When the modern Star Wars line took off in 1995, Hasbro discussed whether or not to bring back the 12 Inch Figure line, once called Large Size Action Figures back in the Kenner era. It took some time, but by the end of 1996, Star Wars collectors saw the first modern 12 Inch Figures released, and the response was mixed. The figures came in beautifully collector-focused packaging, but the figures barely looked like their on-screen counterparts, and the price didn’t seem to warrant the products inside of the packaging. The line started off under the Collector Series banner, and soon transitioned to the Action Collection line, which ran until the Power Of The Jedi line ended in 2001/2002. But the figures released in the Power Of The Jedi line took the approach of the figure with a more impressive design style. Hasbro added a lot more of droids and aliens into the line, and focused on character themes, like bounty hunters and environments, like the Death Star. Thankfully, by the time we delved into the Power Of The Jedi line at the end of 2000, collectors of the Action Collection line became increasingly restless for more bounty hunters.

Some of the greatest moments in the Action Collection’s history are found within the Power Of The Jedi line. In fact, Hasbro commemorated their 100th 12 Inch Figure/Action Collection release under the Power Of The Jedi line look. But collectors were much more interested in completing the bounty hunters. Hasbro produced a wave wholly containing bounty hunters in the Power Of The Jedi line. And they are some of the nicest figures they produced in the entire lineup. 4-LOM is another decent entry in the Action Collection line, but it isn’t perfect. Based on 1997’s POTF2 [R/G] C-3PO Collector Series figure, 4-LOM comes with an all-new portrait (that’s sadly miscolored), a new torso, and an all-new right hand so he can grip the included concussion rifle accessory. From the neck down, 4-LOM looks fantastic. Hasbro mastered the figure’s paint job beautifully. The dark gray color of the figure’s body comes accented with rust accumulations in the crevices. And Hasbro was also certain to add the red “Nike symbol” on 4-LOM’s left breastplate. If you can overlook the oddly decorated head sculpt, 4-LOM looks amazing.

4-LOM comes with 11 points of articulation. Due to the inherent nature of the character’s design, you don’t get an unlimited amount of movement with this figure. But there is enough available to pose 4-LOM into some interesting configurations. When posed with the other bounty hunters in the line, 4-LOM looks right at home. We only wish they accurately recreated the color palette on its head with a little more screen-accuracy. With Boba Fett, Bossk, IG-88, and now 4-LOM produced for the line, the last two bounty hunters needed are Dengar and Zuckuss, and they’re already unofficially announced to be part of the “Attack Of The Clones” line when that launches Spring 2002. (Editor’s Note: Both Dengar and Zuckuss were released as part of the Star Wars “Saga” [Phase I] lineup.) The more background characters Hasbro produces for the12 Inch Figures range, then more diverse the line will become. That is basic common sense, but it’s needed for any action figure line, no matter the scale. Priced a bit higher than the Collector Series and Action Collection figures of the past, 4-LOM retails for $24.99. We feel this figure is worth your consideration.
