All different types of droids populate the Star Wars galaxy. Each droid is different and has their own unique personality and colors. This droid is optimized to function in the permafrost desert of Jedha and its spiritual nature. Join C1-940 on their adventures throughout the galaxy! May the force be with you... and your droids!

The Droid Factory line seemingly has no end in sight. In between the Halloween and Christmas figures, Disney also produces action figures for conventions and other celebratory occasions. The C1-940 figure was another D23 exclusive released on September 9th, 2022. After the conventions, Disney made it available internationally and on ShopDisney.com's UK website. The figure's colors are inspired by Mickey Mouse's costume from "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" segment of the animated film Fantasia from 1940. As you can see, the figure's name is inspired by the year of the film's release. Coincidentally, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" also inspired other Droid Factory action figures, including the R4-D23 and R5-D23 figures previously released in the line. We don't think a "Chopper" droid was a wise decision to "shape" a Mickey Mouse character. They did their best to match Mickey's colors, but a standard astromech droid with Mickey Mouse ears would have been more effective here. For example, the figure has yellow "feet" and white-gloved "hands," and the body of the droid closely resembles Mickey's costume in the film. But it's challenging to "see" a "mouse" in this silhouette of the C1-series droid. Regardless, these droids do well, and we anticipate that this one will be another success in the collection. C1-940 has an MSRP of $16.99 and is increasingly becoming more and more difficult to find on the aftermarket.
