Baylan Skoll - TBS [P4] - Six Inch Figures (AH09)

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

Well, bust our buttons! It's a male Star Wars character! We didn't think they existed anymore. Hopefully, Baylan Skoll isn't a beta. They describe the character as a Jedi Knight who served as a general in the Grand Army Of The Republic and survived the Great Jedi Purge. And Shin Hati is the apprentice of this character, you know, the one who looks like Strawberry Shortcake. We're doing our best to find some redeeming qualities about the look and feel of this character, but all that comes to our mind is some throwaway character from Game Of Thrones. We see some "dark Jedi" traits like those in Count Dooku, but there are more medieval traits here than anything else. Baylan Skoll comes with an extraordinarily long-bladed lightsaber. Even the hilt is long, but the blade is super long. It's comically long. The head sculpt is decent but doesn't capture every feature of the actor. Ray Stevenson, who played Baylan Skoll in Star Wars: Ahsoka, tragically passed away in May of 2023, so how they will resolve the character's arc in the series is unknown. The action figure looks great, but it could be more exciting. Then again, few characters from any Disney Star Wars source have been compelling, so this is par for the course. We should note that the figure also has some reduced articulation, which is becoming common in The Black Series 6-inch line lately. Despite this, the paint operations look fantastic, and the details in the costuming are accurate, based on what we see in the series. The Baylan Skoll 6-inch figure has an MSRP of $24.99 and is part of a final case assortment of figures that Hasbro got out before the end of 2023.
