UPDATE (04/02/09): Happy April Fool's Day from your friends at Jedi Temple Archives!
PAWTUCKET, R.I., (Pre San Diego Comic-Con 2009 Press Release) - Hasbro, in an indomitable effort to satisfy fastidious collector and kid demand, will revisit their beginnings of the modern Star Wars action figure line with the reintroduction of the popular Ultimate Galactic Hunt; returning in 2010 and will be released as The Power Of The Force 3 collection. These chase pieces, debuting in January 2010, celebrate the 15th anniversary of the modern line that “re-began” it all in 1995. Never forgetting their roots, Hasbro will eagerly show tribute and return to the molds of simple articulation and bulky body frames of their now-classic figures. The original The Power Of The Force card back artwork will be incorporated into the refreshed and repackaged red Legacy Collection line look. Pack-in premiums such as the Build A Droid concept will be omitted for this special subset of figures. Collectors will also want to be on the lookout for extra rare card back color variations with and without “hologram” foiled stickers, which will be added to 1 in every 10 cases only! Below is a list that will encompass the ten (10) Ultimate Galactic Hunt figures of 2010; MSRP $8.99: January 2010 COLLECTION 1 Luke Skywalker February 2010 COLLECTION 2 Chewbacca March 2010 COLLECTION 3 Darth Vader |
Hasbro will release full details and photos at San Diego Comic-Con 2009, but we thank them in advance for this sneak preview! Be sure to check for the full details of UGH 2010 and other convention coverage information right here at Jedi Temple Archives!
