OK folks, this one leaves us speechless. Either an elaborate scheme by an unscrupulous collector or a grand mix-up at the Hasbro factory (after the fact no less - why are stores still getting Legacy Collection figures?), click through to see what one of our readers found at his local Toys R Us.
Carlos Soto writes in with the following information:
I was at a local Toys R Us here in south Florida looking for figures for the Bogo Promotion and I found this weirdness. Basically several Legacy Collection figures have the wrong names (ex: Ugnaughts called K'Kruhk, etc...) and of course, the corresponding proofs of purchases that are attached to them. At first I thought they were repacks done by the store to fix stolen figures. I've seen Walmart, Kmart, and Toys R Us re-tape figures onto other figure's opened cards and put them back on the shelf to try and sell what they can. Don't know if you've seen that in your neck of the woods, but I live in metropolitan Miami and vicinity and strange stuff happens round these parts.
Anyhow, that's not the case with these as the packaging looks unaltered and there are more than one figure with the same name, I found two Ugnaughts labeled K'Kruhk and two 4-LOMs labeled Jacen Solo. I'm also sure this is Hasbro messing up because they're from the same wave if I'm not mistaken.
Any response would be appreciated!
Thanks
Carlos
