This year, LEGO decided to host a breakfast get-together, opening their full showroom at Javits at 7AM. As usual, they had a fun and unique giveaway for all that attended. Read more for details on this very cool collectible giving tribute to 10 years of Star Wars LEGOs, and how you can get one of these cool collectibles!

For attendees of the LEGO Collectors Event, LEGO handed out a specially packaged chrome Darth Vader. The package was decorated with quotes from Darth Vader, as well as the text Celebrating 10 years of ruling the toy galaxy together.

Before Toy Fair, LEGO also mailed out special badges for entry into the event. These badges combine with the packaging to form a very cool backdrop for the chrome Vader. We saw at least 3 different styles of badges (we have two pictured here). It's also worth noting that this chrome Vader is reminescent of the Hasbro Chrome Toy Fair Vader from 2002.

While the packaging was exclusive to Toy Fair event attendees, fans will still have a chance to get their hands on this very cool Chrome Vader. Hasbro had this to say for their official press release...

A YEAR-LONG CELEBRATION
Starting in January, 10,000 exclusive, never-before-released chrome Darth Vader minifigures were randomly inserted to 2009 novelty products.

The company will mark the anniversary in other exciting ways.  Partners are on board for several promotions, events, online activities and TV events to engage consumers - young and young at heart - in celebrating throughout the year.  Information will be posted to http://starwars.lego.com.
