Discovery Times Square reached out to Jedi Temple Archives for a special invite and to see if we would cover the Star Wars and The Power of Costume: The Exhibition being held there. So we did. The displays were simply stunning, and the path through the stunning visuals offers a close interaction with actual Star Wars costumes and props that only can be appreciated while seeing them live in person. Most of us will never get this close to these costumes again. Click through for a complete gallery of the costumes we saw, and be sure to keep it here as Discovery Times Square is going to be providing an exclusive coupon code for any of our readers who want to visit the exhibit sometime in the future. You have some time as the exhibit will be open until September 5, 2016.

The Tamashii company has released what may be the best C-3PO figure on the market to date. Before you scoff at the $400 price tag, let us tell you that we held this piece in our hands and were astounded with the scale, likeness and quality of the piece. Not only is C-3PO cast from real metal and heavy in weight, he also comes with light-up eyes, real abdomen wiring and functioning arm pistons and other gears. It's probably the most amazing C-3PO 12" scaled high-end figure to date. It's equivalent to the quality of the life-size figure from Sideshow Collectibles, but smaller and a fraction of the price. Do yourself a favor and check C-3PO out from head to toe!

Keep it here for the latest updates from Hasbro and LEGO and any other awesome Star Wars licenses we come across in the Javits Center. If you haven't yet, follow us on Facebook for up to the second updates because we're putting the latest news there first. We check in with Hasbro at 12:30 PM and our presentation begins at 1:00 PM. This week we’re kicking off a three-part article series that we have baptised the “Mark goes to” reports in our Star Wars Experience section.
The “Mark goes to” articles will put the spotlight on a trend that has become increasingly popular over the last few years: Star Wars tourism!
And indeed, fans from all over the world undertake real pilgrimages to the film locations of our most favorite film epos only to get a bit nearer to that galaxy far, far away.
Such travels are best done properly prepared and that’s where Mark, to many also known as “the Autograph Bounty Hunter” comes in: he provides us with indispensable tips and tricks, do’s and don’t’s to make your trip a huge success.
This week Mark goes to ... Tatooine, where you can escape the heat in grubby Cantina’s and be all the ‘Outlander’ you like. Are you warmly welcomed on the desert planet? Hit the link, hyper-travel to Tatooine and find out ...
