The Vintage Collection Anakin Skywalker (Peasant Disguise) (VC32), also part of the “worst reissue wave ever,” has never looked better. And it has more than just a couple of enhancements. The Photo Real on this figure is stunning. And the new soft-goods are perfection. We took the time to break it all down for you by producing an all-new 68-image gallery complete with both versions (2011 and 2021) featured, comparison shots, and a breakdown of what separates the two releases in the Collector Notes. Check out this excellently updated figure in our RDRs now! There’s more difference here than you may realize.

The Black Series [Phase IV] Phase I Clone Trooper 6″ figure is a necessary update for the line. But is it the ideal upgrade? (more….)

Yawn. Hasbro made us wait so long for the Phase I Clone Trooper Lieutenant that we don’t even care about it anymore. Besides, the tooling is so old and tired now that the articulation system is terrible by today’s standards. Also, why did they give the packaging red color flashes? They used “yellow” for The Saga Collection for Episode II, and it made the most sense. What are they going to do for The Phantom Menace now? (more….)

The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ collectors are getting a taste of what happens to a long-running Star Wars line. And they better get used to more! Hasbro has to meet budgets, and in order to meet budgets, reusing existing tooling is a requirement. The “Attack Of The Clones” wave is essentially the first “repack, refreshed, and repaint” wave for the 6″ line. but 3.75″ collectors are used to them. Plo Koon isn’t perfect, but it’s an admirable effort. Will you add one to your collection? (more….)

Holy cow. The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ Kit Fisto figure is a complete mess. The head sculpt looks like an amalgamation of the Episode II and Episode III versions of the character, but the deco and details more closely resemble the Revenge Of The Sith likeness. Either way, the figure doesn’t have a robe, comes with the wrong lightsaber hilt, and possesses a litany of other issues. 6″ collectors should demand a recount on this figure. (more….)
