Hasbro doesn’t seem to realize that NO ONE wants any more toys from Episode VII or Episode VIII ever again. They managed to sucker Best Buy into taking on The First Order Celebrate The Saga multipack. And boy, is it a stinker! (more….)
We are finishing up the Star Wars [Solo] Two-Packs section in our Visual Guides with the repacked and Force Link 2.0 upgraded Rose (First Order Disguise)/BB-8/BB-9E set. Click below to check out the full guide page. Make sure to also revisit this review from earlier this year right here.
So, after SIX hours of futzing with Force Link 2.0 and trying to get it installed, sixty-six and two-thirds percent of the Rose (First Order Disguise)/BB-8/BB-9E Two-Packs set still have “FIRMWARE UPDATE REQUIRED!” errors. We’re shaking our heads. Oh, and the figure’s say the wrong things if you use the first Force Link. See why we’re so over this gimmick now as we look at this re-release in our Research Droids Reviews today! The best part of the Rose (First Order Disguise)/BB-8/BB-9E Two-Packs set is the Force Link. Find out why this is the case in our Research Droids Reviews today! We have a sneak peek for you tonight of the latest wave of Two-Packs sets. Interestingly, one of them this time is a three-pack. The Rose (First Order Disguise)/BB-8/BB-9E set is about as average as they come. The new sculpt of Rose is nice, but the deco is not great. The BB units are all-new sculpts as well, and they look about average. But their Force Link sound effects are divine. You can tell them apart too. BB-8 is more high-pitched, and BB-9E is mostly lower tones. It’s like they communicate by farting. It’s great. (The Disney Parks versions are infinitely better. We’ve added comparison pictures for you to see for yourselves.) The Chirrut Imwe/Baze Malbus is a pure joy if you’re a fan of the film. Chirrut finally gets his bowcaster rifle and says one-half of his immortal line from the film. Hasbro goofed by not completing it with Force Link. (We’re quite disappointed by this.) Baze Malbus is more of the same, but it’s cool to have him talk this time. Anyway, click the thumbnails below to check out the Photo Gallery and Collector Notes for each review now. Full reviews start tomorrow!
Today only you can get Free Shipping sitewide at ShopDisney.com with promo FREESHIP. They have the Chirrut and Baze Force Link 2-pack and the Rose, BB-8, and BB-9E in stock at $15 each. Be sure to check out the other Star Wars items they have on sale.

Funko revealed two near exclusive Pop! Four packs for Costco. The first is called “First Order Four Pack” and includes Kylo Ren with Glow In the Dark Lightsaber, Supreme Leader Snoke, First Order Executioner, and BB-9E. The second is called “Rebel Four Pack” and includes Rey with Glow in the Dark Lightsaber, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca (with his Porg Pal), and BB-8. Each Pop! is individually packaged within the four-pack box. It’s hard to justify buying a four-pack of Pop! figures most collectors have just because of a slight change (says the guy with every FO Snowtrooper “Variant”), but where have we heard something crazy like that before?? If you’re a die-hard Pop! collector or you haven’t gotten these individually yet, you just might have to pick this up. They do look nice in that four-pack box, but I didn’t even know Costco still existed!
These two sets are NOW AVAILABLE on the Disney Shop Parks App! Special thanks to JTA reader Thomas S. for the alert!
The BB-8/2BB-2/BB-4/BB-9E four-pack shows us there is BB diversity in the Star Wars universe now. Check out this fun Droid Factory set in our Research Droids Reviews today! There is also a gallery showing Resistance astromech droids R4-X2 and Y5-X2. Check it all out in our Research Droids Reviews.

Even MORE The Last Jedi Pop! figures were found in Flemington, NJ. Not sure if there was the same restrictions on buying them, but apparently our reader was able to purchase the Porg without any issues. So. Many. Pops! Thanks to JTA reader Wendell for the image!
