Getting through “Barge Week” was arduous, but it was well worth it. Now that we got that out of the way, we wanted to redirect your attention to a set Hasbro produced over a decade ago that is essential to help complement your Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna). During 2008’s The Legacy Collection run, Hasbro released the Battle At The Sarlacc Pit Battle Packs set. It gave us our first-ever 3.75″ version of the Sarlacc Pit. It also included a repainted Skiff and five pack-in figures with the worst paint jobs we’ve ever seen. We’ve revisited the review with a massive 120-image gallery, revised text in the review and an Editor’s Note which explains that we do have a Sail Barge now. Anyway, please check out the new images, and see why you may want to consider this for your collection if you don’t have it!

Behind the scenes, I calculate various statistics on what happens here on our site, just for curiosity. And I have to say you all impressed me. We had unprecedented first-day unique visits for The Vintage Collection wave 20. It seems all the hobby needs is a strong wave of Original Trilogy characters to get everyone excited again. Anyway, thank you for the astounding traffic, and we hope you keep checking back as we add more figures to this fantastic collection. If you missed checking out our larger-than-usual galleries of Saelt-Marae, Klaatu (Skiff Guard), Princess Leia Organa (Boushh) and Scarif Stormtrooper, please be sure to check them out!

Saelt-Marae is the MOST-PERFECT action figure Hasbro has produced in a VERY LONG time. I am so blown away by this figure that I went above and beyond for you tonight. Firstly, the review is DONE. See why you’ll need MULTIPLES of this figure for your collection. Secondly, I was curious to see how Saelt-Marae compared to the many other Jabba’s Palace aliens Kenner and Hasbro produced throughout the years. So there are almost 50 ADDITIONAL images comparing Saelt-Marae (Yak Face) to other figures from Jabba’s Palace or the Battle of Carkoon. Please leave your thoughts in the comments in the review. I want to know what you think of this stunning figure! ENJOY!

OK, let’s get this party started! The reviews are coming soon, but you can check out crisp images of The Black Series Archives wave 1 figures right now in our RDRs. Most importantly, we have comparison pictures for each figure so you can decide which version of the figure looks better. Here is a quick rundown: Luke Skywalker is better, but not perfect. For one reason or another, the photorealistic paint job looks amateur at best, almost as if it’s a trial run. He doesn’t come with a beautiful application like recent figures. Boba Fett is much-improved. They finally updated his chest armor to the correct color. Amen, Hasbro! Bossk is almost identical to his first issue. But it’s nice to see him again. In all honesty, IG-88 is a significant step backward. He’s still feather-light, has too many holes in his head (that don’t need to be carried forward in the action figure), and got a pretty bad paint job this time around. What’s up with all of that gold? The reviews are coming soon, but check out everything else right now.
