Well, Triple Force Friday is tomorrow, and still we get leaks! However, the figures leaked now look like they could be something that is released only in a few months from now. Charles G. sent us official Hasbro promo photos for a brand new Chewbacca and C-3PO figure. Thanks to Charles for sending us the photos! Click through for more photos and details!

Here is something else the Hasbro Star Wars brand doesn’t need to rot at retail. Another line like this only hurts their bottom line and irritate shareholders. I have never heard of this line myself, but JTA reader mic windu found a super-sized 10″ line of Galactic Heroes called Mega Mighties. Look for it at your closest clearance aisle in a couple of weeks.

It looks like Amazon has gotten their stock of the newest wave of The Vintage Collection. You can find Chewbacca, Lando, Phasma, and the Praetorian Guard as well as the repack wave all for retail price ($12.99). However, it would seem they are having some difficulty keeping enough VC140 Stormtroopers in stock to meet the demand. That’s caused the price to soar up to $23+. Yikes! Luckily you can still pre-order the best stormtrooper figure ever for $13.99 at Entertainment Earth.

Well, if the purchase of Star Wars by Disney is the reason we have a 6″ Hondo Ohnaka now, we’d call it a win for collectors. See him and a cast of other characters from the Galaxy’s Edge exclusive Smuggler’s Run multipack. You’re going to love it. See it all in our Research Droids Reviews today! The time has come! The best Imperial Stormtrooper ever in 3.75″ scale is starting to arrive in collectors’ homes. Thanks to Sergio K. for the image. I have seen reports of cards being charged from EE and BBTS, so start watching for emails and whatnot if you have this on pre-order. Has anyone had their cards charged for the solid cases of Stormtroopers yet? Let us know if you’ve gotten your case or are anticipating it soon in the comments!
We reviewed these figures weeks ago too! Check them out HERE!

It is with sadness I share a report from our friends at Fantha Tracks, that the wonderful Peter Mayhew who, as we know, portrayed Chewbacca in A New Hope, has passed away today. Follow this link for an official statement from The Kurtz Joiner Archive…

We have a sneak peek of the first wave of Retro Collection figures for you to see. I love these things. But what a shame that Hasbro didn’t launch this line for the 40th anniversary of Star Wars. I hope they take the line as far as possible. Droids, Ewoks, unproduced vintage Kenner figures are only the beginning. And I would LOVE to see 1985 The Power Of The Force figures added as well. Right now they’re exclusively available at TARGET beginning May 12th, but they will have more widespread availability later this year in the Fall. Check them out and leave your thought about them in our review pages!

NEW IMAGES ADDED INCLUDING COMPARISON SHOTS AND DIORAMA SHOTS! Well, it’s mind-blowing that it took Hasbro 15 years to get collectors a Chewbacca on a STAR WARS card back, but it’s finally here. Was it worth the wait? Decide for yourself in our Research Droids Reviews today! Be sure to leave your thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or comment about it on our Facebook page. Our sources tell us (and we’ve seen the images) that The Vintage Collection Chewbacca featured on the floor of SWCC is BACK to the A New Hope head sculpt (both loose and packaged). Something must have gotten lost in translation with the recent press images of the figure we discussed last week. But we will find out what’s going on with this figure for sure. Stay tuned for images and more.

Or maybe we’ll never get an accurate ANH Chewbacca at all! Well, of course, things had to go south as we get closer to the release date of the unacceptably long-awaited Chewbacca figure on a Star Wars card. As Hasbro releases high-resolution images, one can’t help to notice the devastatingly huge mistake they made. Get ready for the VOTC Episode VI Chewbacca for our “A New Hope” Chewy. What a travesty. Also, what in Heaven’s name is up with these name pills Hasbro? Your art department is CLUELESS. Please fix this immediately. Thanks to all who wrote in to ruin my morning with this news. 🙂
