In an interesting but not necessarily surprising development, we’ve learned that The Black Series [Phase III] Clone Commander Wolffe 6″ figure’s box art is directly “inspired” by the Sideshow Collectibles one-sixth scale figure. This is not improbable, and Hasbro leased out their license to Sideshow Collectibles years ago to make their high-end figures. Special thanks to JTA reader Jcc2224 for the alert!

We also have a sneak peek look for you at the Barnes & Noble/Disney Store/GameStop shared exclusive Clone Commander Wolffe figure from The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ line. Fans of The Clone Wars are inevitably going to fall in love with this figure, but I think it misses a few small marks. The approach of this figure feels like Hasbro was going for a hybrid appearance of his phase I and phase II armor (although clearly intended to be phase II) as reusing parts can sometimes muddy these defining waters. The all-new portrait is fantastic. His gross milky eye is perfection, as is the scar above and below it. The Wolfpack deco is beautiful and cleanly applied on his armor, and the articulation system is nothing out of the ordinary. The review is coming soon, but you can check out the full gallery and other things now!
If you have zero patience like the average, normal Star Wars collector, foreign sellers have both The Black Series [Phase III] Gamorrean Guard and Clone Commander Wolffe in-hand as well.
In honor of Commander Wolffe’s appearance in the Star Wars Rebels finale, let’s get him added to our Sideshow Collectibles Visual Guide! Click below to check out the amazing sixth scale Clone Commander Wolffe (104th Battalion). We also have a full review of this figure right here.
The 104th Battalion Ultimate Gift Set is BACK IN STOCK at TARGET.com. You can see our own review on these figures HERE. I remember this showing up on TARGET.com a couple of years ago for about $50, but the price has been adjusted back to its normal MSRP of $29.99. A cursory eBay search will prove to you that these sets average about $75 on the aftermarket and some of the clones in this set go for $30 each loose. If you never got this set, this might be your last chance to grab it for a decent price! Special thanks to JTA reader ThorsWars12 for the alert!
UPDATE: Now out of stock!
