As you know, we’ve just finished up reviewing what many are calling the “greatest of all time” wave of The Vintage Collection Clone Wars figures. Yes, the wave was nothing more than simple repaints, but it added the Clone Wars entertainment logo to The Vintage Collection repertoire and added new characters to the line for the first time. If you passed on this wave of figures, you’re missing out badly. With its runaway success, we believe that Hasbro and Walmart can work together again to develop two additional waves with little to no new tooling while making collectors inordinately happy simultaneously. Click through to check out our suggestions and the figures they can use to quickly assemble two more unique figure assortments for us. (more….)
Let’s start adding Visual Guides for the recently released Walmart exclusive Clone Wars Tartakovsky figures. First up is Barriss Offee (VC214). Click below to check out our full Visual Guide. We also released a full review of this figure right here.

Hasbro insists on using the same old tooling for The Vintage Collection Battle Droid figure from the Clone Wars micro-series. It poses well, but it’s not a great action figure! (more….)
It’s official. The Vintage Collection Clone Wars wave has ht brick and mortar. JTA reader ShipGirlLover found them in Philadelphia. Now is your chance to find mint samples of these figures!
The Vintage Collection Luminara Unduli Clone Wars figure received a remarkable update, and it’s the first entry of Luminara figures added to The Vintage Collection! It’s another gorgeous action figure in the line. It’s impressive what Photo Real did for this tooling too! (more….)
If you passed on or missed The Vintage Collection Barriss Offee Clone Wars figure, you’re going to be a very upset collector. It’s one of the most gorgeous action figures in the line, and it’s incredible what Photo Real did for this tooling. (more….)
Let’s look at the ARC Trooper Captain which is technically a “rehash” in The Vintage Collection. But it can also be seen as a “new” figure too! (more….)
Let’s keep the Clone Wars train chugging! The ARC Trooper is a FIRST-TIME offering in The Vintage Collection. How many did you order? (more….)
Yes, I’m on an alliteration kick today. But, holy cow. Did you receive your Walmart exclusive wave of The Vintage Collection Clone Wars figures? They’re arriving via droves of boxes, both undersized and oversized, bubble envelopes, and in as many parcels as Walmart sees fit. How has the condition of your figures been? Did you get your complete order, or are some still on their way? As one Instagram reader put it, this wave is GOAT, and we can’t wait to review them all. Stay tuned for more! Special thanks to JTA reader Mike R. for the alert and image.
It’s like a dream come true. After many years of telling collectors that characters from Genndy Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars were off-limits, the tides have turned and Hasbro produced a sub-line of figures based on the micro-series that are as beautiful as they are endearing and nostalgic. Let’s take a look at Aayla Secura! (more….)
Here is also a closer look at three of the Walmart exclusive The Vintage Collection Clone Wars figures by Genndy Tartakovsky!
This week I got some new toys! One in particular is a modern update to a vintage Star Wars collectible I’ve wanted for a long time. I’m really happy I got this as it showed up on Hasbro’s eBay store only for a short time, and I wasn’t able to secure the vintage counterpart before the value shot up recently. Check it out by clicking here!

There’s been quite a bit of squawking about placing Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars figures on classic Kenner-inspired packaging. Our friends at Blue Milk put together a concept that borrows elements from Kenner’s classic Droids and Ewoks lines. Ultimately, it appears to make more sense for an animated series to get packaging that mimics past animated toy lines. What do you think? Would the packaging represented below gone over better for those who criticized the standard The Vintage Collection packaging?
I get that the recently revealed Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars action figures for The Vintage Collection are getting a mixed reception from collectors. Still, for me, this is some of the most exciting news in recent memory as a Star Wars collector, and that’s with me accepting they’re imperfect. (more….)

Disney+ is adding a lot of vintage content to their platform this April. Fans can look forward to Volume I & II of Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars, Ewok movies Caravan of Courage and The Battle for Endor, and the animated Ewoks season 1 & 2. And, while they are not adding the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special, they are adding the very popular Boba Fett cartoon that was a part of the special: The Story of the Faithful Wookiee. Still missing from the line-up is the Droids cartoon.
