Move Over Slave I, Your "Problematic" Name is Canceled!

If you couldn’t roll your eyes more vigorously about the ridiculousness of Disney Star Wars, this might give you convulsions. Slave I is no more. It is now called the Firespray (which is really the MODEL of the vehicle and not its real name.) While this isn’t a universal transition, it’s expected to become commonplace in the Star Wars universe. Who else can’t wait to see what’s next on the erasing of Star Wars’ history?! Screenrant has the full story.

The Droid Depot Droids multipack features two all-new sculpts for the Disney line. Based on characters from Galaxy’s Edge, this five-pack is colorful, diverse, and comes with one massive droid. It also includes a new R1 unit in the same color scheme as the character we see in A New Hope. Disney coincidentally made the same error on this character as Hasbro did on their version too. Review: Greef Karga - TBS6 [P4] - TM06

The latest wave of The Black Series [Phase IV] figures are hitting, and we are taking a close look at the excellent Greef Karga, but not before taking another knock at the Disney Trilogy. It’s another one of Hasbro’s finest figures of the year. (more….)

Review: Hondo Ohnaka - TVC - VC173

The best way to assess The Vintage Collection Hondo Ohnaka figure is to say it should have stayed a pack-in exclusive with the Millennium Falcon (Smuggler’s Run) vehicle. We hope Hasbro doesn’t waste any other slots on Disney Star Wars figures, unless they’re from Episode IX or The Mandalorian. (more….)

Review: BB Units [Red/Black] - Galaxy's Edge Trading Outpost

We finish up the BB Units for the Galaxy’s Edge Trading Outpost line. They aren’t from the Disney Droid Factory line. They’re from the 5POA TFA/SW [TLJ] Two-Packs sub-lines, which means they don’t split in half or have a lot of movement or play features. It’s a disappointing development. Let’s conclude with the BB Units [Red/Black] set. (more….)

Review: BB Units [Blue/White] - Galaxy's Edge Trading Outpost

Hasbro went super-cheap on the BB Units for the Galaxy’s Edge Trading Outpost line. They aren’t from the Disney Droid Factory line. They’re from the 5POA TFA/SW [TLJ] Two-Packs sub-lines, which means they don’t split in half or have a lot of movement or play features. What a huge disappointment. We begin looking at these with the BB Units [Blue/White] set. (more….)

Did you forget about the Sequel Trilogy too? Don’t worry. Retail hasn’t. JTA reader from New Zealand, Andy M., sends us a few images highlighting the disastrous sales of The Force Awakens Millennium Falcon. (It must have performed as well as The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter!) Whether discount outlets like ROSS and TJ MAXX, or various chains internationally, one thing is certain: you can find all the ST merchandise you want. In all seriousness, I wonder how the 3.75″ scaled line would have fared if it were designed for collectors instead of kids (like all the products made from 2005 to 2014 were). I’d imagine collectors would have purchased a lot more than they did. Developing the Star Wars toy line fro a kids’ perspective was a huge misstep in retrospect.
