Review: Boba Fett (Tython) - TBS6 [P4] - TM16

We saved the best for last! Check out the amazing The Black Series [Phase IV] Boba Fett (Tython) figure and see the evidence that Hasbro can give us a Deluxe figure for the price of a basic figure. This figure is all-new and comes with more accessories than most of their Deluxe line. (more….)

What a piece of junk! You’re braver than we thought if you plopped down $50 for this thing. OK, so these are exaggerations. But TVC collectors should start demanding that Hasbro raise the bar for the line, instead of lowering their expectations. Let’s take a look at the Nevarro Cantina from The Vintage Collection. Review: Fennec Shand - TBS6 [P4] - TBOBF01

The Black Series [Phase IV] Fennec Shand 6-inch figure makes one less action figure to complete for your ER Season 6 cast. Oh, and Ming-Na Wen is supposedly in some Disney Star Wars show too. But how is the action figure? (more….)

But they could have prevented it. A few additions would have made this a surefire hit, and collectors might not have balked at its price. But wow. That Jabba’s Palace Throne Room playset environment is something else, isn’t it? That said, you know from the comments that its price is staggering, and collectors are saying “no way.” Collectors are being forced into a “direct to market” scenario as it’s a Hasbro Pulse exclusive. And there were so many ample opportunities they could have incorporated to make this The Vintage Collection centerpiece shine above anything else released previously. Well, maybe save for The Khetanna. With just about 15 minutes of talking about this item with my good friend John McCartney, we came up with many ideas to guarantee this release some incredibly enormous success (and enthusiasm). Review: Wrecker - TBS6 [P4] - TBB05

The Black Series [Phase IV] Wrecker is beautiful. Do you know what’s not beautiful though? The price. Hasbro once again tries to pull the wool over the eyes of the 6-inch collecting community when the whole Deluxe premise is a scam (more….)

Review: Tech - TBS6 [P4] - TBB04

The Mandalorian/Blurrg/Remnant Stormtrooper Mission Fleet set might make you a little mad that we don’t have this beast in The Vintage Collection or The Black Series lines yet. But maybe it’s because Hasbro isn’t sure if collectors would pay the ridiculous amounts of money to put the blurrg in those scales for us. (Look how cheap it is to make an all-new 2-inch-scaled blurrg.) (more….)

It’s that time of the year again when companies report their quarterly earnings. Hasbro did so a little more than two weeks ago, Disney followed this week. So how are things? Don’t expect all that many details, especially regarding Star Wars, as usual, no numbers are given, but we have some statements at least that tell us how the brand is doing. So click through for a brief overview!

Hasbro 2020 Star Wars Sales: We're Back, Baby!

According to CNBC, “sales of [Hasbro’s] licensed content from entertainment studios fell 12% to $1.08 billion for the full year, [but] its sales of Star Wars grew by 70% over that period.” That’s a pretty hefty percentage for a single year. What on earth, do you suppose, could have possibly contributed to such an increase in sales? That’s rhetorical, by the way. The article without stating it directly basically says “The Mandalorian was really great for business.” Do you expect Hasbro to increase their product due to these sales? How much do you think The Black Series vs The Razorcrest campaign contributed to these numbers? Let us know what you think in the comments!
