We finish up the BB Units for the Galaxy’s Edge Trading Outpost line. They aren’t from the Disney Droid Factory line. They’re from the 5POA TFA/SW [TLJ] Two-Packs sub-lines, which means they don’t split in half or have a lot of movement or play features. It’s a disappointing development. Hasbro went super-cheap on the BB Units for the Galaxy’s Edge Trading Outpost line. They aren’t from the Disney Droid Factory line. They’re from the 5POA TFA/SW [TLJ] Two-Packs sub-lines, which means they don’t split in half or have a lot of movement or play features. It’s a disappointing development. The D-O/R5-2JE/R6-LE5/R2-SHP Droid Factory four-pack concentrates on four new droids from Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. A new vehicle has arrived at Disney World in Orlando called the First Order Short-Range Evacuation vehicle. The same vehicle is packed over and over again with a differently colored astromech droid. Talk about frustrating! Thanks to Josh M. for forwarding images from eBay.

Many have asked how to secure an R5-BOO19 action figure. We’ve learned that they’re completely sold out and that eBay is the only place you can find them. We have no way to confirm whether Disney Parks are entirely sold out of this figure, but since today is Halloween, we don’t anticipate them getting any more of them. Our friends at Jedi Business have revealed the new Disney Parks exclusive Droid Factory BB-19H figure. Check it out!

We’ve come across information about the Disney Droid Factory Build A Droid attraction. Apparently, protocol droids may have not gone over as well as the astromech droids, and at the moment, there are no plans to add more protocol droids into the line. In fact, the Droid Factory protocol droids will be going away soon. The estimate is that the theme parks have a couple of months yet before the stock sells through. Rumored but not wholly confirmed is the idea that Disney Parks will return the popular astromech droids with a whole new collection shortly. It also unconfirmed if future collections will fall under the Droid Depot banner moving forward, but I imagine that’s a given at this point. If we learn more, we’ll be sure to share it with you. Do you remember THIS HUGE SURPRISE from a couple of years ago that shockingly showed up online (as well as a few random loose figures at store locations)? The full case assortment doesn’t even make an appearance on eBay anymore. How many of the couple hundred collectors who bought the complete set online still have their set? Hasbro denied that any were produced and released, yet a couple of hundred cases made its way to Calendars. It’s a terrible shame this collection got canceled. It was home to the yet-to-be-released Clone Captain Rex and A-wing Pilot in addition to the Build A Droid R5-X2 and R8-B7. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Hasbro finally got all four of those remaining figures released one day? You can see all of the officially released Legacy Collection [2] figures in detail HERE.

While rummaging through some stuff in my shed this week, I came across a series of two-paks from the 30 (77-07) line. These six Walmart exclusives offered very little newness to the line (the buildable C3PX notwithstanding), and it got me thinking about what’s missing with the Hasbro line post-2014. (more….)
