Head over to Five Below and check out their selection of Force Link 2.0 figures for $3.25, including Imperial Royal Guard. Big thanks to Instagram user blueharvestcollector for the alert!
Well, this is not good, folks. And Hasbro, it’s time to get back to Original Trilogy basics. Collectors have voted with their dollars, and it appears they’re sick of straight either repacks and not interested in new vehicles, not from the Original Trilogy (or Prequel Trilogy). Yes, we’re sure there are exceptions to this. The Imperial Combat Assault Tank wasn’t one of them. $10 Imperial Combat Assault Tanks at Five Below is not an encouraging sight for The Vintage Collection brand. Special thanks to JTA reader Seth A for the news!
If you’re interested, Five Below has a large selection of Star Wars [Solo] Force Link 2.0 figures in stock for $3 each. Special thanks to JTA reader Ed. D. for the news!
You likely remember when we reported about a plethora of Jyn Erso and Captain Cassian Andor TBS6 figures arriving at TARGET unexpectedly and in vast numbers. With your help, we figured out that the Five Below stock (both online and in stores) was purchased for $5 each and then people used their TARGET receipts to return the $5 figures with receipts of new figures they paid full price for. Well, it appears TARGET is onto the bait and switch. They’ve covered up the UPCs and created a unique UPC on the clearance sticker to ensure these never get returned to the store again. Acts like this will change return policies for the worse and could make some products ineligible for return for all of us. Let’s not make Hasbro’s bad case assortment decisions worse with this type of clearance life cycle that seemingly is without end. We’ll be seeing Jun and Cassian in stores until who knows when.
More The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ figures have arrived at Five Below locations across the country. New figures include C-3PO (Resistance Base) and Scarif Stormtrooper Squad Leader. We have “heard” that more of these case assortments will be arriving this week, so be sure to check out your local store. On a related note, we just joked about Star Wars [The Last Jedi] unsold product landing at Five Below in about two years. But they’ve arrived now. You can get $29.99 vehicles for $5 if you’re so inclined.
Wow! Five Below has Rogue One The Black Seris [Phase III] figures for $5 each. Get them before they’re gone. Those Jyns will be there forever! Special thanks to JTA reader Edward D. for the alert!
UPDATE: And in less than 10 minutes they’re all history. I guess I was wrong about Jyn. There were about 40 of each figure when I posted this.
JTA reader and friend Michael O. alerts us to another Five Below find. I haven’t heard these particular figures hitting this retail collection, but I may have just forgotten. Regardless, this was the first time Michael has ever seen this figures at retail! Sad!
It’s just so sad to see this sometimes. But if you’re looking for cheap Star Wars figures you can head to Five Below where they have Rogue One Two-Packs for about the price of a single figure. No more 5POA Hasbro. Now let’s get those TVC figures out there! Special thanks to JTA reader Michael O. for the news!
How many of these did Hasbro make? The last time we recall asking this question was in 2012 with the Star Wars [The Phantom Menace 3D] line which was a total and utter retail debacle. However, now it seems the same is becoming true for The Force Awakens line. Who would have thunk 5POA for a new Star Wars film WASN’T the way to do things? Huh! How about that? JTA reader Mark L. also chimes in with “My Five Below in Denton TX restocked all their SW figures so that means a whole new set of $4 (down from $5) unmasked Kylo, Resistance Rey, Nien Nunb and Squad Leader FO Troopers. Where are these coming from?” We’ll probably be seeing the TFA 5POA figures for a VERY long time.
