It looks like Hasbro has made an update to the Imperial Stormtrooper (VC140) addressing the issue with yellowing torsos. JTA reader Josh sent in this image with a comparison picture featuring a newly released Stormtrooper versus an early release. The figure on the left has an obviously whitened torso compared to the earlier release, which shows signs of yellowing. Entertainment Earth still has this up for pre-order if you missed it the first time or are interested in the updated non-yellowing version.  

It’s baffling how The Vintage Collection Imperial Troop Transport is on its way to some collectors’ homes as we speak, and yet nearly everyone is STILL waiting on The Vintage Collection Rogue One Imperial Stormtrooper figures to populate it. Arrival dates get pushed to the next month once we reach the end of the current month. And not too many people know what’s going on with it. Hasbro, we warned you the moment this figure was announced to produce it like you had no other figure to produce. But as usual, you don’t listen. If those pre-orders are limited or canceled, get ready for a backlash you’ve never seen to date. Oh, and before you say “Remnant Stormtroopers” are on the way, then you don’t understand why longtime collectors want the clean white Imperial Stormtroopers first and foremost.

JTA reader Mike lets us know that you can use the ‘Compare Sellers‘ option on Walmart.com to get the TVC Imperial Stormtrooper directly from Walmart for $12.93! Hurry, as this stock probably will sell through fast! I just checked and as of right now it is still available!

Yesterday we posted an Amazon alert where you could order a “limitless” amount of The Vintage Collection Imperial Stormtrooper figures. Many were concerned that the item showed temporarily out of stock. Well, today, Amazon has sent up email updates letting us know of the expected delivery.

I’m seeing numerous reports of wave 6 showing up in people’s homes around the country. Did you pre-order wave 6 of The Vintage Collection? I just got 4 stormtroopers in the mail yesterday (from Amazon, and not a scalper price). Post a photo of your most recent hauls, especially if you got wave 6, in the comments of your new figures and where you ordered them from.

The time has come! The best Imperial Stormtrooper ever in 3.75″ scale is starting to arrive in collectors’ homes. Thanks to Sergio K. for the image. I have seen reports of cards being charged from EE and BBTS, so start watching for emails and whatnot if you have this on pre-order. Has anyone had their cards charged for the solid cases of Stormtroopers yet? Let us know if you’ve gotten your case or are anticipating it soon in the comments!

Here we go! We are thrilled to present you with a sneak peek of The Vintage Collection wave 21, and now all of the rough galleries and notes are completed. Check out the Imperial Stormtrooper (from Rogue One), Lando Calrissian (from Solo), Chewbacca (from A New Hope), Captain Phasma (from The Force Awakens) and the Elite Praetorian Guard (from The Last Jedi). We are excited to present you with a sneak peek of The Vintage Collection wave 21, but we had to start with the shining star of this wave first. The Rogue One Imperial Stormtrooper (VC140) figure is unequivocally the most significant Imperial Stormtrooper action figure Hasbro has ever produced. And while maybe not entirely perfect, you’ll quickly overlook the negative in favor of the positive. Sure, the armor around the ankles is a bit odd, but the rest of the figure is beautifully executed. Made from the body of the Walmart exclusive TVC Stormtrooper (Mimban) (VC123) figure and the portrait from 2016’s RO Imperial Stormtrooper figure, Hasbro seamlessly blended the parts together to create a monumental version of this member of the Galactic Empire. The figure has been given an all-new paint job, and the white is shiny and reflective, and not dull like most Stormtrooper action figures created before it. He only comes with an E-11 blaster, but that’s all this figure needs. The Imperial Stormtrooper has fantastic articulation and can attain any pose you wish. And the only negative is that Hasbro didn’t make enough of them. This figure needs a solid case pack stat. Please note that our Photo Gallery is NOT complete. We will be adding about 30-40 more photos when the review goes live, so be sure to come back tomorrow to check everything out.

Hasbro is finally going to face their Waterloo with the release of The Vintage Collection Rogue One Imperial Stormtrooper. We warned them the moment this figure was released that they need to work on solid case packs for it, but now we’re moments away from the figure’s release, and there are no solid case packs that any of us know about yet. If you were collecting in 2012, you know the nightmare most experienced with the Emperor’s Royal Guard. Well, get ready for Act II. There will NOT be enough 3.75″ super-articulated Imperial Stormtroopers to go around (unless Hasbro starts over-producing them which they should indeed do). So Hasbro, please start producing more and carry-forward this baby until the line ends.
