The last time the Hasbro Star Wars brand saw an ARC Commander Blitz action figure was in 2011 in the animated The Clone Wars line. Now we have a realistically-styled, super-articulated version. Check it out! (more….)
We’re catching up on TVC reissues! The Attack Of The Clones Obi-Wan Kenobi figure reissue looks excellent. The revised paint operations are a notable improvement, and they finally got the hair color right. Hasbro also changed the colors throughout this figure. We took the time to break it all down for you by producing an all-new 76-image gallery complete with comparison shots and a breakdown of what separates the 2011 version from the 2022 new release in the Collector Notes. See this impressive figure updated in our RDRs now! There’s more difference here than you may realize.
The Black Series [Phase IV] Visual Guide updates continue with the addition of the Phase I Clone Trooper Lieutenant (AOTC01). Click below for the full Visual Guide. Click here for a look at our full review.
Are you aware of the many changes Hasbro made to the action figures part of the Phase I Clone Trooper “troop builder” four-pack? There are quite a few! (more….)

Yawn. Hasbro made us wait so long for the Phase I Clone Trooper Lieutenant that we don’t even care about it anymore. Besides, the tooling is so old and tired now that the articulation system is terrible by today’s standards. Also, why did they give the packaging red color flashes? They used “yellow” for The Saga Collection for Episode II, and it made the most sense. What are they going to do for The Phantom Menace now? (more….)
Thank you for reading Research Droids Reviews: Season 12!
We finally get a 6″ Jango Fett figure with Photo Real deco AND the Mitronomon Z-6 jetpack. Does this excite you? Not only is this figure sourced to the Star Wars: Bounty Hunter video game, but it’s also sourced to Attack Of The Clones. (It should have been released along with Kit Fisto and Plo Koon,) (more….)
Another one of the many great divides in The Vintage Collection is the Clone Trooper (VC45) figure. Some think it looks like a realistic version of the characters from The Clone Wars television series. Others feel it is a perfect 3.75″ encapsulation of the characters seen during the Battle of Geonosis in Attack Of The Clones. A wise repack in The Vintage Collection “2.0” lineup in our opinion, the figure finally comes with Photo Real, a flatter matte paint job, and significantly revised packaging. We took the time to break it all down for you by producing an all-new 92-image gallery complete with both versions featured, comparison shots, dioramas, and a breakdown of what separates the 2011 version from the 2020 new release in the Collector Notes. Check out this excellently updated figure in our RDRs now! There’s more difference here than you may realize.
We kid you not. The Electronic Battling Jango Fett is probably one of the greatest action figure interpretations of the character ever created. This assertion still holds up well today, almost 20 years later. See why you’ll probably want one for your collection by checking out our Research Droids Reviews today! The Star Wars “Saga” [Phase I] Clone Trooper [Captain] KB Toys exclusive 12 Inch Figure is alright. But it’s better than the all-white infantry Clone Trooper.
