The time has come! The best Imperial Stormtrooper ever in 3.75″ scale is starting to arrive in collectors’ homes. Thanks to Sergio K. for the image. I have seen reports of cards being charged from EE and BBTS, so start watching for emails and whatnot if you have this on pre-order. Has anyone had their cards charged for the solid cases of Stormtroopers yet? Let us know if you’ve gotten your case or are anticipating it soon in the comments!

Here we go! We are thrilled to present you with a sneak peek of The Vintage Collection wave 21, and now all of the rough galleries and notes are completed. Check out the Imperial Stormtrooper (from Rogue One), Lando Calrissian (from Solo), Chewbacca (from A New Hope), Captain Phasma (from The Force Awakens) and the Elite Praetorian Guard (from The Last Jedi). Getting through “Barge Week” was arduous, but it was well worth it. Now that we got that out of the way, we wanted to redirect your attention to a set Hasbro produced over a decade ago that is essential to help complement your Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna). During 2008’s The Legacy Collection run, Hasbro released the Battle At The Sarlacc Pit Battle Packs set. It gave us our first-ever 3.75″ version of the Sarlacc Pit. It also included a repainted Skiff and five pack-in figures with the worst paint jobs we’ve ever seen. We’ve revisited the review with a massive 120-image gallery, revised text in the review and an Editor’s Note which explains that we do have a Sail Barge now. Anyway, please check out the new images, and see why you may want to consider this for your collection if you don’t have it!

I planned for this moving image, created by JTA reader and friend Alientek, to be the funniest thing I saw today, but fortunately for me, a story relayed by good friend Chris Swanksi at Bantha Skull took the cake. I sadly cannot share his story with you, so please enjoy this image below. I usually don’t post silly things like this on our front page, but I think we all could use a laugh. Ever since Billy Dee Williams was announced as a cast member for Episode IX fans were concerned in what shape Williams would be for the movie, considering his health and age. Well, it seems Billy Dee is in great shape, he has a personal trainer who works with him and Billy Dee Williams posted a short video on his Twitter feed earlier today where you can see him working out and boxing. So whatever Lando will do in Episode IX, he won’t just have to sit or lean against a wall. Maybe he can punch some sense into Kylo Ren? Go to Twitter to see the short clip!

Hollywood Reporter (as well as several other entertainment websites) has just released an article which officially confirms that Billy Dee Williams will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian in Episode IX. Rumors were spreading a few days ago already, when Billy Dee had to cancel a convention appearence due to a scheduling conflict. Now that it is official, what do you want Lando to do in IX? Do you think he will have a somewhat larger role? Are you happy and excited a beloved Original Trilogy character finally gets an appearance in the Sequel Trilogy? This is something fans have been asking for since The Force Awakens.

The Saskatchewan Entertainment Expo made the most curious announcement on their Facebook page. Billy Dee Williams was supposed to be a guest this year. But his appearance has been canceled due to a “film schedule conflict”. Hmmmm. What can that possibly mean?

Will he kamikaze the Falcon with Nien Nunb and Chewbacca as his co-pilots and 3PO and R2 in the back into Starkiller Base 2.0 or will he do what any sensible person would do, and put Kylo Ren across his knee for being a very naughty boy and killing Han for the entire duration of the movie?

July may be the official start to a hot summer, but JTA is cooling things down as we look at the first wave of figures produced by Kenner for THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK line. As such, we’re excited to announce that July is “Some Like It Hoth” month in our vintage Kenner Research Droids Reviews. We will be focusing on Kenner’s Series 3 group of figures all month long.
