It’s astounding to me how poorly the Legacy Pack sold across all retail levels. It feels like it sold as badly as the 6″ Special Force TIE Fighter. And now as Toy R Us gets ready to close its doors forever, MORE cases from the warehouse are arriving at 60-%-80% off. It’s the only way to get the 40th anniversary Darth Vader (in the vintage Kenner line look). How did this not sell better than it did? I have never seen something so collector-friendly pile up at retail as this release did. And I have been collecting the modern line since 1995. Again, nothing has piled up like this set in my experience. Hasbro isn’t grabbing the right group of collectors with this stuff.
If you need another to open, or just another to save, it’s hard to beat $9.99. Best Buy has the 40th Anniversary Legacy Pack on clearance for $9.99 on their website. Thanks to JTA reader Craig for the alert!
Another Walmart price drop! This time you can grab the Legacy Pack for $15 online!
Update: You can pick this up on Amazon for the same price, with free Prime shipping. Thanks to Steve for letting us know in our comments!
JTA reader Allen found a ton of 40th Anniversary Legacy Packs marked down at his local Walmart in Smithfield, RI. According to Allen, they are marked down to a mere $15! I know my local Walmarts have more than 20 of these each and they have yet to even mark them down at all. My Walmarts don’t have ANY of the Star Wars figures marked down yet…Which is strange. Have you found the Legacy Pack this cheap yet in your area? Let us know!
As I was picking up some comics, I decided to swing by the Target and see what was happening there. Alas, no 40th figures and barely any clearance items honestly (although there was a TON of 5POA TFA figures still full price on the shelves), but what I did see was one Vader Legacy pack sitting there with a clearance of $27.99. Now, I was going to wait on this since I’ve seen them lower from other reports, but for some reason I decided to scan it and lo and behold it was down to $19.98. I recommend checking your Target because they may just not have updated the stickers.
JTA Reader Christian C. brings to our attention that his local Target has dropped the price of The 40th Anniversary Darth Vader Legacy Pack down to $19.99! That is closer to what they really needed to price this figure at to begin with. I believe $24.99 or at the MOST $29.99 would have been more reasonable, but $39.99 was extremely high. Even for a figure that is of an extremely amazing quality such as this Darth Vader is. Heck, I will most definitely be buying up a few more at this price! Have you seen this in your area yet?
UPDATE: This specific Target is located in Texas.
….and saw himself on sale for less than 5 bucks! I’m not good at telling jokes, so thankfully this isn’t one. How would you like to pay under $5 for some great The Black Series 6″ figures? Well, JTA reader JediRebel77 shares with us quite a find at a local Target store. Even though we all love to find a deal, Target REALLY needs to make some changes to the way they handle inventory for Star Wars figures. Click through to see what kind of deals we’re seeing.
If you happen to live near a Meijer, you’re in for some savings. They’re apparently putting ALL Star Wars products on clearance including 6″ 40th Anniversary, Legacy Pack, 40th Anniversary Die-cast, and much much more. Thanks to JTA Facebook reader Tanner M. for the heads up!
JTA reader Joshua O. found this at his local Walmart. I guess this thief doesn’t love Princess Leia as much as Hasbro.
