The Return Of The Jedi Weequay figure reissue looks fantastic. It took Hasbro long enough to get it out to collectors again, but the revised paint operations are a marked improvement. Most importantly, they fixed the mismatched ankle and knee joints. But they also changed the colors. We took the time to break it all down for you by producing an all-new 60-image gallery complete with comparison shots and a breakdown of what separates the 2012 version from the 2023 new release in the Collector Notes. This figure is shipping now. See this excellent figure updated in our RDRs now! There’s more difference here than you may realize.

As if 2020 couldn’t get worse, we lost a man who played one of the greatest villains in a movie franchise ever. David Prowse died on November 28th following a short illness. His character of Darth Vader will be remembered forever. Please feel free to leave your thoughts on how this actor impacted your life playing the incomparable Darth Vader character. Fox News has the details on this sad news.
We have another Visual Guide update from the new The Black Series [Phase IV] line. Click below to check out Admiral Ackbar (ROTJ01). We also have a full review of this figure in our review database right here.
Did those YouTube reviews catch everything? Did others speak honestly whether this was the right version of the Millennium Falcon to release? And what about that price? What about those pack-in figures? And what’s new here? Is this better or worse than previous efforts? The review of the Millennium Falcon (Smuggler’s Run) TARGET exclusive vehicle is ready, and we speak freely about its pros and cons. Also, this gallery is only the beginning. We will be adding a lot more images across the Original Trilogy and Sequel Trilogy as we move ahead, so stay tuned for more! (more….)
We should have fallen in love with Admiral Ackbar, but we didn’t. It has a near-perfect sculpt, but the articulation is wonky, and the deco is off. Hasbro brought back that awful “open mouth” feature which means no head movement again. Also, why is the head so much darker than the arms? And the waist articulation makes it difficult to pose the figure. But if you just pose the figure out of the box, you probably won’t care about the issues. (more….)
The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ line is flourishing, but that doesn’t mean that Hasbro isn’t still actively playing catch up as we speak. However, we can’t help but notice at least 15 characters that were released in the classic vintage Kenner line that Hasbro has yet to produce for the modern 6″ line. Click through and see if you agree with our list, and be sure to leave your thoughts about this in the comments!

Walmart put a 1-per-order limit on both the Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) And Yoda (Force Spirit) The Black Series exclusives, and both are still available. If you were looking for more than 1 of each of these it’s a fair bet you can safely place some extra orders if you are looking for extras. For once, it seems two desirable exclusives are very plentiful for those looking for them! Also of note, it seems demand has been met for the previously sold-out Jabba’s Palace too. This is also in-stock.

No new The Vintage Collection reveals. No new The Black Series 6″ reveals. No HasLab. Does all of this mean something?
JTA reader and friend “Logan” found the Galaxy Of Adventures wave 2 at his local Walmart. Admittedly, these figures look pretty neat in the colorful packaging. Too bad they’re all repacked figures. Well, the Stormtrooper isn’t. It looks like the Solo Stormtrooper (Mimban) figure painted all white with the Rogue One helmet.
Recently I looked at some of the Disney era characters that need a Black Series figure. Today I want to do the same for the Original Trilogy. It’s not easy making a list of just ten characters, so I cheated a bit here and there. Anyway, click through for my top 10 picks of Original Trilogy characters that need a Black Series figure!
Hasbro would be the first to admit this, but they have really been in an urgent state of “playing catch-up” ever since the inception of The Black Series 6″ line. It’s really no one’s fault at Hasbro. When you start a line from the beginning, you’re already “x” years behind to anything else that has already been produced. It must be quite an undertaking trying to organize a vast cast of characters which make sense for this line that contains so many characters while including new Star Wars Entertainment. Trying to please everyone in this scale is proving to be quite overwhelming in some regards. (more….)
