I wasn’t entirely sure if I was going to post another article like this, because honestly, what else should we expect at this point? But the reports are pouring in that collectors are receiving DESTROYED samples of the Amazon exclusive “Armory” Sith Trooper. Here is an example from JTA reader Garo K. Hopefully, you’ve had a more pleasant experience with this exclusive. As someone who ordered five, I can assure you they arrived without any issue at all. (They also arrived in a box)
The Amazon exclusive Sith Trooper (Armory Pack) (VC162A) is now shipping, and is also our latest addition to our The Vintage Collection Visual Guide. Click below for our full guide page, and make sure to hop on over and check out our full review while you are at it!
Wow. Hasbro DESTROYED the aesthetics of the classic Kenner card back with the Amazon exclusive “Armory Pack” Sith Trooper. They also broke format in the numbering system by giving this figure the designation of VC162A. Thank goodness the figure is awesome! See everything in our Research Droids Reviews today! You can check out rough Photo Galleries for The Vintage Collection wave 24 RIGHT NOW in our Research Droids Reviews. The RDRs, begin tomorrow, but you can check out most of them now. Princess Leia Organa (Yavin) (VC150) got delayed but will be here tomorrow. I’ll add her as soon as she arrives. In a nutshell, wave 24 is a great “repack and repaint” wave. (Remember those?)
Interestingly, the Sith Trooper is an all-new figure. I thought for sure he used parts from the SIth Jet Trooper, but not a single part is reused. For me, the Jawa is bittersweet. I desperately wanted a Jawa on a Star Wars card, and Hasbro delivered. But I would be lying if I said I am content with the straight repack of The Black Series [Phase II] figure. A Jawa deserves all-new tooling and premium soft-goods. At the moment, the Shadow Trooper is my favorite of the bunch so far. It’s a fantastic sculpt, and the extra gear is appreciated and welcomed. Anyway, be sure to check them all out!

S.H.Figuarts will also have a small selection of brand new Rise of Skywalker figures this year. However, SHF offers substantially less than for The Last Jedi this year. It seems this time collectors will merely get three figures and all three of them will directly compete with the Black Series. There will be an all new Kylo Ren, Rey and Sith Trooper figure! Click through for the details!
The “Heroes & Villains” Facebook page has posted photos of two upcoming 12 inch Rise of Skywalker figures. The Sith Strooper and Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. It seems these figures are bought by someone? Or is Hasbro just fulfilling contractual obligations here? Anyway, the duo was spotted at Walmart, who, like Meijer, don’t really seem to care about embargos and street dates, at least when we talk about putting top secret toys that no one must know about on shelves for us mere mortals to see.
Will you buy these figures? How long do you think it will take until you find them at Ollie’s / Ross / 5 Below?
While browsing my local German Amazon shop today I stumbled upon a yet unannounced variant of the Sith Trooper figure: a so-called “First Edition” Sith Trooper that comes in an all white box and red background! I immediately tried to find the figure on Amazon US, but had no luck, so it seems that maybe Amazon Germany revealed something that they were not supposed to reveal yet.
But what is this? You can already pre-order the figure on Amazon.de, however availability is October 4th, which is Triple Force Friday! Is it possible that there will be more “First Editions” of other Triple Force Friday figures? Will Hasbro make box variants now? Are box variants or “First Editions” anything that interest you? As usual, we know nothing specific, I suppose Hasbro will eventually announce something. Until then we can speculate that the Black Series will see “Special Editions” or “First Editions” box variants. Actually, this “First Edition” box design with the circular callout was also something we saw in the leaked box photos of the Second Sister, which said “graphite”. Is it possible that “graphite” refers to the box here and is a special edition of sorts? Will you chase these box variants?

The regular release of the Rise of Skywalker Sith trooper has been found in the Disney Springs shopping center in Florida. Thanks to Darren V. from Facebook for the photo. It appears that it comes with two of the blasters that were in the SDCC exclusive release. I’m interested to see the card art for the Vintage Collection version. Will you be army building this trooper? Let us know in the comments!

The Sith Trooper action figure was revealed a while ago, now the actual costume was also displayed at SDCC, the official Star Wars site has the story. Click the photo below for a good look at the all new trooper variant created for The Rise of Skywalker! You can also see what seems to be their new standard weapon. Overall, the Sith Trooper seems to be a nice blend of various trooper elements from across the trilogies, they certainly look better than the standard white First Order Stormtroopers first introduced in The Force Awakens.
There was also a sign (which has apparently been removed) with a short description of who the Sith Troopers are with following inscription:
In its ultimate push towards galactic conquest, the First Order readies an army of elite soldiers that draw inspiration and power from a dark and ancient legacy.
So the idea that the Sith Troopers may be Palpatine’s personal army is probably debunked by this. But as usual, we know almost nothing and have to wait until the movie is released. It’s doubtful JJ Abrams or Lucasfilm will tell us a lot more about Sith Troopers before the release date.
It looks like the new Sith Trooper will be the face of The Rise Of Skywalker at SDCC as we see it revealed in multiple formats over at StarWars.com, including a pretty sweet looking Hot Toys version. Click through for all the details on the many formats you can see this new trooper in, including not only action figures, but Pop! bobble-heads, mugs, shirts, hats, backpacks, and more.
