The Vintage Collection Finn (Starkiller Base) figure has some minor improvements from the figure released almost nine years ago, but why did Hasbro wait so long to add this crucial character from The Force Awakens into the line? It sounds a bit suspect and racist to us! (more….)
Hasbro lied. But it doesn’t matter. We finally have our gray-haired Han Solo from The Force Awakens, but this time it comes with a new glorious head sculpt in The Black Series Archive line. (more….)
Denuo Novo has put up for pre-order their latest Helmet. Click through for pre-order details for the Poe Dameron Blue Squadron Premier Helmet Accessory.
REY!!!! Hasbro produced WAY TOO MANY Rey figures during the Disney Trilogy. Rey (Starkiller Base) from The Black Series [Phase III] Titanium Series 3.75″ line is one of the worst. (more….)
Here’s another Titanium Series Helmets release. Let’s check out the Black Leader Poe Dameron/FIrst Order TIE Fighter Pilot two-pack. It’s not bad. (more….)
Do you remember the Titanium Series Helmets line? We have to play catch up on them. Here is the Captain Phasma/First Order Stormtrooper set. Yes, we winced deciding to add it into the database as well. (more….)
Hasbro doesn’t seem to realize that NO ONE wants any more toys from Episode VII or Episode VIII ever again. They managed to sucker Best Buy into taking on The First Order Celebrate The Saga multipack. And boy, is it a stinker! (more….)
The Sith Celebrate The Saga set comes with a never-before-released action figure. But is a 5POA version of TC-4 worth your $30? (more….)

As someone who, in my strong opinion, was justifiably critical of the Sequel Trilogy, I had zero hopes or expectations for The Rise Of Skywalker. ZERO! However, the last thing I ever expected was to like the film. A LOT. Let’s face some basic facts. The Sequel Trilogy went the wrong way for Star Wars. (more….)

Disney CEO Bob Iger released his autobiography “The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned From 15 Years As CEO Of The Walt Disney Company” yesterday and in it he also very candidly talks about how George Lucas reacted when he first saw The Force Awakens. And while it’s nothing we haven’t guessed before, it’s still a very interesting read! So click through for all the relevant passages from the book!
Update: one more passage from Iger’s book added about the fact that Lucas initially didn’t even want to attend the Force Awakens premiere! Scroll to the end of the article for the new quote from Iger’s book!
… and Mark Hamill appends an 11th quote on Twitter…
It seems Mark is still not all too happy about the extent of his role and number of lines in The Force Awakens, even after all those years. Chances are he will talk more in The Rise of Skywalker again, being dead is barely an inconvenience for a Jedi, after all. And who knows, maybe the movie will even add another timeless Luke Skywalker quote. What could it be? “Rey, you are my aunt?!?! That’s not true! That’s impossible!”? “Don’t call me Shirley!”? or “If only I had picked up those power converters at Tosche Station!” What do you think could be a great Luke quote for Episode IX? Leave your constructive thoughts and helpful suggestions (JJ is still editing the movie, maybe he needs some inspiration for last second pick up shoots!) in the comments! Let’s have some fun!
We saw the magazine scans last week, so we knew it was only a matter of time before SH Figuarts would officially announce the two new Star Wars figures of Luke and Han. You can now find official promo photos for both The Force Awakens Han Solo and The Last Jedi Luke (Crait) on the SH Figuarts homepage.
Luke Skywalker will come with two headsculpts, which look much better than the blurry magazine scans, the usual hands, lightsaber hilt, a lightsaber with blade and the two golden dice (they are tiny). Han seems to come with almost nothing, other than a few alternate hands, and a blaster, he comes with an extra holster that was molded with a blaster inside of it, so the blaster is non removable, this is the same approach SHF chose for their previous A New Hope Han Solo figure.
Both figures go on pre-order on August 1st (Thursday), local Japanese time (Japan is 13 hours ahead of EST). Check the usual Japanese etailers if you want to secure your figure. The figures are not web exclusives so could, in theory, sell out eventually. Release date is December 2019.
Prototypes for the figures were on display several times in the past, so this shouldn’t be a complete surprise. But it’s always good when SH Figuarts decides to actually produce a prototype. The Force Awakens Han Solo and The Last Jedi Luke Skywalker (Crait) both appear in a magazine scan. If you are not new to SHF you know the routine, first there’s the magazine scan, then follows the official announcement by SHF and you can usually pre-order the figures soon after. Both figures are expected to be released in December 2019. It remains to be seen if these two figures will be the only ones SHF release for The Rise of Skywalker or if SHF is also under embargo and will show off Rise of Skywalker figures later in the fall.
In my opinion the sculpt for Han is perfect, this IS Harrison Ford, Luke, maybe because of the beard (beard is notoriously difficult to sculpt) looks a little bit off perhaps. But the overall shape of the face seems to be correct. Also, why does SHF give Luke this bright hair as well, similar to the Hasbro TVC version? Is it possible that both Hasbro and SH Figuarts were given out of date reference material for Luke and that his appearance (hair color) changed later? This also means SHF will beat Hasbro to the punch and release their version of Crait Luke sooner. The TBS version is expected to be released in Q1 2020 or so.

Tim Rose, who was a puppeteer in Return of the Jedi and performed as Admiral Ackbar, Sy Snootles and Salacious Crumb, and who returned in both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi as Admiral Ackbar once more, only this time actually inside a suit, was recently interviewed by Jamie Stangroom. Jamie’s YouTube Channel is still very unknown, he has very few subscribers and his videos don’t really have that many clicks, but over the time he interviewed quite a few Star Wars actors. Jamie also brought Ahmed Best to the forefront again, when he interviewed the Jar-Jar actor, this made quite a few waves back then when it was revealed just how devasted Ahmed felt at the time. And now Jamie interviewed Tim Rose. In the first half of the interview Tim shares a funny anecdote about filming Return of The Jedi, but then he talks about his experience on set of The Last Jedi and how he felt about being killed off unceremoniously. Spoiler: he was very disappointed. Watch the interview clip and then click through for a discussion!
Avengers Endgame broke all box office records when it was released. However, 24 days into the release of the movie it becomes obvious that Endgame will not be able to beat the domestic box office results of The Force Awakens. The Force Awakens had very, very strong legs, especially for a modern day blockbuster movie, and Avengers Endgame just can’t keep up. So The Force Awakens will remain the number 1 movie on the domestic alltime box office charts in the USA (unadjusted for inflation). But the story doesn’t end here. Click through for some more thoughts and numbers (and bar charts) about Star Wars at the box office.
In case you missed any of it, here is the recap of The Vintage Collection wave 21. This great group of figures received updated galleries and a ton of discussion from our community. Be sure to add your two cents HERE if you missed any of it!
We have the final figure from wave 21 ready for our Visual Guides. Check out the repacked Captain Phasma (VC142) Visual Guide by clicking below, and click here to see what we had to say about this figure in our complete review.
Well, this is the bum figure in wave 21. Why in the world would Hasbro reissue Captain Phasma without an updated portrait or the quicksilver batons from the 5POA release? This character needed a desperate update in the 3.75″ super-articulated range, and we didn’t get it. See more in our Research Droids Reviews today!
