How did you make out at TARGET with the Galaxy’s Edge exclusives? Some have commented already that the Droid Depot 3.75″ figures were the hardest to find. Let us know and show your pictures in the comments!

We have some good news to report. JTA readers are getting their TARGET exclusive TVC Galaxy’s Edge TVC Millennium Falcon. And they’re coming in an outer shipper. JTA reader Shaun S. said his item was in perfect condition. I find it particularly charming how Hasbro has labeled this item with the letters “BMF.” This was a collecting-community generated acronym, and it’s stuck.

It appears some TARGET locations have register-locked the Power Droid figure from the rest of the wave UNTIL OCTOBER 1st! Clone Commander Wolffe, Luke Skywalker (Stormtrooper), and K-2SO all still ring up, but Power Droid will put you in register jail. Let us know if you experience this too. Hasbro, you know that The Vintage Collection packaging is a HUGE part of the collecting experience. And it appears there is a STRONG possibility that the TVC Smuggler’s Run Millennium Falcon will ship WITHOUT an outer box to protect the original packaging. From the explanation on their website to confirmations made by Guest Relations at the 1-800 number, it seems collectors won’t be getting their investment protected. If the interpretation of this is incorrect, we’ll happily issue a correction, but please confirm either way. We understand they’re going to slap a shipping label right on the front of the actual TVC box. If required, can you please work with your great retail partner and advise them against this practice? Can you work with them so they can offer collectors something that will protect the packaging/box of this treasured item? Let’s prevent disaster and an angry collecting community. Thank you! Also, thank you for getting more units up for pre-order today. That was the right thing to do. But so is ensuring these large vehicles ship with protection too.

Target.com has once again added their upcoming The Vintage Collection Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run vehicle exclusive to give collectors another chance. Hasbro has stated that quantities are limited. Let us know how you make out!

Did you blink and miss the TARGET pre-orders this morning? You’re not alone. Complain about Walmart all you want, but at least new products last longer than 90 seconds to place a pre-order. Yes, they have room for improvement too. Whether the numbers for the three new Galaxy’s Edge items revealed today are lower in production or not, Hasbro needs to work with retailers more closely and put things into place to help meet the demand. Found! JTA reader Eric S. found the latest wave of The Vintage Collection figures at TARGET. Interestingly, I thought this wave was a Fan Channel outlet-only wave, so I now have concerns that they might clog up shelves if there isn’t enough support to purchase them at the brick and mortar level.

JTA reader Jason S. stopped by his local TARGET and found The Black Series [The Empire Strikes Back 40th Anniversary] wave 1 but was denied the purchase. The store clerk told them they have a street date of August 1st. If you also find this wave in your local store, please let us know if you are told the same thing about August 1st being the release date. That feels pointless to me.

Target reported yesterday that toy sales for the 2019 holiday season disappointed and didn’t meet expectations. Toy sales were basically flat compared to 2018. Click through for more!

Again, I don’t get it. The Rise Of Skywalker is barely over a week old now. The attention span for movie marketing is nonexistent. I neglected to post yesterday that TARGET was running a Buy Two Get One Free special on all toys (it has now expired). I managed to get three of the Cave Of Evil three-packs for a decent price. But, I also noticed that TARGET has placed its exclusive Supreme Leader Snoke & Rey Galaxy Of Adventures set and The Black Series [Phase III] C-3PO & Babu Frik on clearance. Also of note, the Cave Of Evil Special Action Figure Set is still $39.99.

JTA reader Will P. is one of many store reports we’re getting that the TBS6 [P3] Wedge Antilles/Luke Skywalker (Yavin Ceremony) wave is arriving at TARGET. I found the wave myself yesterday too!

On the 18th day of Triple Force Friday, retail gave to me, SIX First Edition six-inch, FIVE TVCs! FOUR store exclusives, THREE Galaxy Of Adventures, TWO Funko Pops! And a new hater throwing unpublishable slurs and insults at me! Better get out there, folks! Newly arriving stock of stuff that should have been available on October 4th is entering retail as we speak!

TARGET.com has listed the Darth Vader (Prototype Edition) figure. The figure goes on sale 7/21. Thanks to all who wrote in to let us know.

We’ve received some slightly “unconfirmed” information that today TARGET gathered up the remaining The Vintage Collection and The Black Series [Phase III] exclusives to be sent to charity and/or discount chains. Many reported asking TARGET associated to go back to the stockroom to get the sale merchandise. There was a reason they were in the back as this was the plan. This is supposedly universal, so count yourselves fortunate if you found them on sale. Apparently, their stock status in-store has been changed to “Item Not Found.” TARGET, known for the decent handling of Hasbro Star Wars exclusive, totally let the ball drop on these items. Many explained that their stores NEVER had the Father’s Day displays while others never saw any products arrive at all. And now it’s like they never existed in TARGET now. Although, I am sure we can expect these exclusive to visit ROSS one day.

If your TARGET has any leftover Han Solo (Stormtrooper), Luke Skywalker (Death Star Escape), or, yes, the Retro Collection figures, they’re all 50% because they fall under Father’s Day gifts, at least at JTA reader Scott K.’s local TARGET in NY! Unbelievable! He writes: “If any Target stores have leftovers the VC Han Stormtrooper, he is $6.49, the Retro figures are $4.99 and I believe The Black Series Luke Stormtrooper is $9.99.”

UPDATE: It looks like this might be universal. My TARGET had only the 6″ Luke Stormtrooper leftover and they all rang up $9.99.

As we told you, many TARGET locations set aside the new Hasbro Star Wars exclusive items in a special section away from toys for a quasi-Father’s Day type of display. See image below for the proof. As you know, the merchandise sold out almost immediately. There is good news as well as a silver lining. Just after selling out hours on May 12th, Gary H.’s store received a new shipment of Retro Collection figures. Other merchandise is expected soon as well. Keep the faith!

Today Target ‘officially’ released several highly anticipated Star Wars items. In case you have been living in a hole, May 12 is the drop date for The Vintage Collection Han Solo (Stormtrooper), The Black Series Luke Skywalker (Death Star Escape), The Retro Collection Escape From Death Star game (with Grand Moff Tarkin), and the complete wave 1 from the Retro Collection.
