We’ve opened up our guide listing for the recent Topps A New Hope Black & White series, including a gallery of our box break. I wasn’t too excited about a set of black & white cards, but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice these came out. Unfortunately, it takes several boxes to put a complete set together. It would have been nice, at the bare minimum, to get a base set (or close to it) out of a box. Click through for a complete listing and our box break gallery.

Oh, when times were much simpler collecting Star Wars Trading Cards! No hits, no autograph cards, no sketch cards, no 8 different chase sets, etc. etc. etc. Just a base set and some stickers… and maybe a rare obscene ‘error’ card thrown in for drama. We’ve updated our Topps Trading Cards Index with a look at the first three series of Star Wars Movie Photo Cards! Click the banners below for the Index pages for each set.

We’ve finished our Topps Index Listing and added the page to our Visual Guide Index. Click through to check out what Topps has released since 1978. We will continue to break down these sets with detailed listings of each series. We’re still completing our research on the complete run of Topps cards so there might be a few here and there still to add to the index. Please note, we are keeping this listing limited to Topps card sets and have not included some Topps releases such as Pogs and Dog Tags.

It’s time to open up a new section in the Archives! We’re adding brand new definitive Topps guides to our Visual Guide Index section to help collectors navigate the extremely complicated waters that collecting Topps cards have become in recent years. Gone are the days where you could successfully collect an entire set of cards and close the book on that set. Now, it’s virtually impossible to ever fully complete a set of Topps Star Wars cards. It’s a completist’s worst nightmare. There’s the basic set, then insert subsets, then hits, parallels, autographs, sketch cards, and more. You basically have to focus on an area within a set and make that your collecting target. That’s where we come in. We are going to break down these sets showing everything that makes up these complicated sets so you know what you are up against and what to focus on within the overall collection.
We will kick things off with the latest Topps set: Journey To Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We have the complete breakdown right here on our guide page. When available, we will also add some gallery images at the end of our page from the listed set. We will also be opening a complete set index in the near future listing the Topps sets going back to 1977 Enjoy!

Topps has announced via Facebook their new The Last Jedi trading card sets! I’m surprised we haven’t seen any in the Topps Digital Star Wars Card Trader app since they had produced some TFA and Rogue One cards after the trailers had dropped. They also announced that in each box will be guaranteed Autograph and Sketch inserts. Check out the post here
