Entertainment Earth has asked us to relay a little more information to our readers about The Black Series 6′ 40th Anniversary line. Please click through for more.
“Due to the extended amount of time that Star Wars Black Series 40th Anniversary 6-Inch Action Figures Wave 2 has been on backorder and a confirmation from Hasbro that inventory will not arrive in our warehouse until after the holidays, existing pre-orders have been cancelled. We understand many were hopeful to receive these coveted figures sooner and are feeling disappointed. All clients whose pre-orders have been cancelled will receive an email alerting them of additional details, such as release date and availability, as soon as we know more.
Those who have not pre-ordered this wave can receive an alert once it becomes available by using our helpful E-mail Reminder system. To create an alert, simply sign in or create your account and select “Manage E-Mail Reminders.” Then, hover over “Create a New Reminder” and select “Create Category E-Mail Reminder.” Finally, set your preferences to include the keyword “HSC1688” and select “Create This Reminder.”
Please know we are actively working with the manufacturer to discuss the best next steps and hope to have additional information shortly.
When back online, we welcome all to place an order at that time.”
We do wish to add our own comments to Entertainment Earth’s statement above that this information differs a bit from what Hasbro told Star Wars Action News during their HASCON interview (start at 00:01:52) AS WELL AS what our own sources have revealed to us personally about furture and current availability of these figures.
Anything is possible however. We mentioned a while back that if there is an account that’s big enough to place an order directly at the China warehouse that a re-order could be possible. We’d only be guessing, but perhaps Entertainment Earth can produce an order big enough to warrant a rerun of these figures.
Either way, we expect this wave to remain scarce. Until we receive confirmation that wave 2 has been given another production run, we suggest getting them if you see them. You may also be interested in knowing that Brian’s Toys has also begun cancelling wave 2 pre-orders too.
