Would Things Have Been Different For These Episode V Characters?

Do you think that once Admiral Piett realized he wasted precious time worrying about not needing bounty hunter Zuckuss’ scum on his Star Destroyer bridge that those moments could have better spent better spent seeking Princess Leia (in her Hoth outfit of course from the Battle of Hoth) instead? Had he reprioritized things, he may have caught up to the Millennium Falcon in about 6 parsecs instead of 12 parsecs which is half the time.
